Thread: Question on Rhodium Steel

Having only been a master WS for about a month (NO I did not repec but earned my master badge the old fashion way grinding heavy warheads) I am particularly confused about rhodium steel.
1) Is rhodium capped below somewhere like polysteel's SR is capped at 800 (I think) or is it possible for its attributes to spawn up to 1000?
2) Obviously rhodium is rare, or at least it is on bloodfin, but is it rare enough to justify using wahtever spawns no matter what the OQ and Cond are? (Im making advanced blaster barrels)
I haven't been able to find any rhodium with decent OQ or Cond and bascially im just wondering if im looking for the wrong thing when I expect "good" rhodium to have stats in the 700s or up?

Hey Captain. This is dep from bloodfin. Currently the best rhodium there is Kenoli. Its like 85 Cond 950+ OQ. Its the best on the server but was spawned over 600 days ago. Your best bet is to get a 30k resource deed and retrieve some.

Well aparrently the board ate my earlier post...to recap and repeat what's been said a bit.
1) Yes, Rhodium steel is capped at ~85CD and ~565SR (Those are your blaster barrel stats). Don't hold you breath on anything even approaching 1000 for either stat.
2) Rhodium is moderately rare, much like Neutronium Steel with decent CD/OQ. Kenoli is the best for barrels on Bloodfin, Aku is the second. Both are >400 days old and Kenoli is approaching 600 I think. In any case, the 30k deed is probably the only way you'll see Kenoli, or any number of other server bests for your barrels (Gegrira Duralloy, Aetesad Duranium and even Vafufite Polysteel Cu.) As a new WS, your first few months will be hunting for deals and watching the spawns like a rabid hawk. (Get on the Linksteel Alum that's out NOW, it's not server best but it's better than last few months spawns).

TY all very much for your info as it was most helpful. Many WS i have encountered guard info on the prof like its gold or treat newcomers to the prof like children. If there is ever anything I can do for those who took the time to respond please let me know ingame.

If you're going to use a 30k resource deed don't take swgcraft as gospel. Although it's an excellent site there are probably some spawns not listed there. There are a couple different types of best ever resources from Infinity not listed on swgcraft that were available on the deed.
Take your time when using the deed and check the stats of every resource listed on it. For Rhodium it shouldn't take too many minutes as its not a common spawn.

LOL I have been looking on Valcyn for Rhodium steel for 4 weeks and found nothing but other people looking for it! Those few who have some are not giving any of it up. Best I can figure is the last spawn on Valcyn was about 5 months ago! But I concur with the others about the resource kit. From what everyone has told me it is about the only way to go right now. I just posted a WTB for one last night :-).

Rhodium caps around 570 for SR and around90 for Conductivity. OQ is irrelevent for Adv blaster barrels. Hope this helps.

Rhodium Steel isn't for sale and it does not spawn. Good luck getting some. If you want Bronzium Iron we have five spawns of that though...
