Alright outside of the normal, and rare materials you can harvest, what is this talk of power cubes? This concept is new to me. Also someone explain the krayt tissue thing to me also. I know they powerup a weapon but I thought you just pulled a piece of it down into your "enhancement" slot? Also do looted schematics, and schematics you get from NPCs only last for so many weapons? Or is it a skill you commit to memory as long as you dont surrender that skill?

Power cubes are primarly used in the schematics you get from the new geon lab dungeon. There are several of these covering different weapon types. The color denotes the enhancment the cube will give the weapon. Yellow=beter damage, Red=lower HAM costs, Green=stronger durability, White=no enhancment. Cubes must be built into the weapon or component when being created by the weaponsmith.
Krayt tissues enhance max damage and speed of ranged and heavy weapons that use the blaster power handler component. This excludes projectile type weapons like the FWG5 pistol. The highest ever reported krayt tissue was +300 max damage and -2.8 speed, the lowest is +30, -0.3 speed. You get them off krayts on tatooine. Some gun models require multiple identical tissues, especially high powered weapons. The tissues must be built into the weapon by the weaponsmith at the time of creation. They are placed in the enhancment slot when creating the blaster power handler for the gun.
Looted schems have charges that are used up each time you make a weapon. Typically they have between 2 and 5 charges, depending on the schematic type. In order to use the schem a weaponsmith must "learn" the schematic. Each schem can only be learnt once and then it is stuck on the weaponsmiths datapad, so all remaining charges must be used by that particular smith.
