Thread: crafting question please help

Right now im novice wep smith, 0-1-0-0, and i want to grind a blaster rifle barrel with my macro, but am unable to because it wont let me. When im neara crafting station,it works, but i dont get any xp. What choices do i have to get this to work? ALl help is appreciated

Are you sure you don't get XP? You might log out and back and be surprised, although I never had that problem while grinding. Just a thought.

My macro did that sometimes while grinding doc, all I had to do to fix it was /dump and run it again, then it'd go for a while before breaking again.

ok, when im sititng next to my crafting station, i run my macro, and i complete/load all of the resources with spare time, after it does that the numbers with the used crafting tool do not show up (the numbers that tell how long until item appears) and its not giving me exp either, please help it will be geratly apprecitaed

when you do a macro and the system message "you have finished crafting the item blahblah" what ever if it pops up twice then that's the same as a critical failure (no time pops up on the crafting tool). if it's doing this every time then the tools you are using are probably crap (someone died a bunch of times with it in the inventory). i'd try getting (or making) a few more tools and trying it out, if that don't work then i'm stumped.

Your better off just grinding metal staffs i was able to master weaponsmith that way. And you dont need to be by a crafting station so you will get the exp.

my frined has talked to a lot of people and he says that they say i cant get xp using a macro bya crafting station anyway? ill try a metal staff

Think your friend was misinformed... most of the people on this board will have done at least some grinding on blaster rifle barrels sitting next to a crafting station.
There's a known bug where sometimes your experience doesn't appear to rise as you craft - happened to me once, thought I'd wasted two hour's grinding! Fortunately when I logged and exited the game completely, the issue disappeared and I had all the xp I'd earned, didn't lose anything.
