I know weaponsmiths use this and was wondering if it's in enough demand to even mine the stuff...the OQ+CD is like 1660 on the stuff for an 830 average and I was just wondering if it's worth mining.
Thanks,

Thats a fine material. I would say yes its worth mineing aslong as you do not overcharge. This is neither a corner stone material. Meaning that is it aint a fantastic generic material that fills multiple niches. Nor is it a necessary specific resource. It goes in tangle pistols and sg82s. Weapons that have a moderate demand. So you wont find a smith willing to buy 200k of it, but if its a reasonable price I am sure you will find a market for selling ten k batches. In the streets or three k batches on the bizarre. If you even sit on it for awhile you might fetch an even better price. Depending on how the combat patch turns out the sg82 might see higher demand.

Moderate demand?
I put 25 tangles on the vendor for 14k (scout blasters on Lowca cost 12k and sell fast, DX2s are 17k and sell even faster) and a month later I got like 15 ITEM IS IN STOCKROOM mails because no one bought the damn things. I put them back up at 10k (making them the cheapest item on my vendor) and it took another couple weeks to get rid of them.
SG82 is even worse off because its stats suck andthe cert is in the same box as the laser rifle. No one buys them unless they're collecting weird stuff to put in their house.

on farstar there's a codoan copper in shift now with 0Q 994, making it a bit more useful of course

Thats odd I sell sg82s okay it is definately a niche weapon. The only critter vuln to cold I can remember is the krayt. The sg82 allows a lowlevel player to participate more effective against these. Hopefully they will spread this vulnerability about a bit more. Thats why I told him low amounts. A smith will buy 3 to 10 k and it will last near forever.

they don't have cold vuln any more, that went away when they jacked up resists and HAMs to make it takehalf an hourto kill an ancient unless you have a full group of nothing but rifleman/swordsman/commando. they all have lower resists to cold than everything else, but they're not vulnerable and with the medium/heavy armor on all of them the SG82 does no damage at all, and only people who know nothing about the armor system will use SG82 against krayts.

If I remember correctly, most of the stuff on the corellian corvette is vulnerable to cold damage. My pa-mates started asking for SG82s then. Generally, they're not good sellers though.
