I'm Master Carbineer with 3/4/0/0 BH and I need some info to give to my weaponsmith as I am not well-versed in the art of weaponcrafting. So far i've just been blindly buying what has looked the best, but I need real info this time.
Few questions:
since I have 85 carbine speed, I need THE slowest carbine to make best use of the speed mods. Which Carbine has this? Which Carbine can get the biggest increase in damage/HAM/Range from total lack of speed enhancement?
I've always liked the look of the DXR6 Carbine, but i'd like it more with a stock and scope. Same goes with an Elite and EE3 Carbine; how exactly do I go about getting this request done? Weaponsmits will no doubt know what I want, right? Are many weaponsmiths willing to outfit guns in such ways?
Thank you, Most Honourable Smiths, for your time.

When it comes to boosting the damage on ranged weapons they are all the same. Generaly to boost damge a Advanced rifle barrel if it isn't already used and an advanced Weapon stock is used. These adjust the stats the same on all weapons. I personaly allways use adv barrels in my base weapons but some smith use basic barrels in there base guns for the faster speed. by using Adv barrels you get about a 5-7pt + to damage at a cost of about 2-3 tenths of a second speed. You're real damage boost comes from the advanced stocks. on radiant ours can get as high as +40 min/max damage at a cost of .26 speed. you will see identical changes whether it is a dh-17 or ee3. If you want to go all out for damage you'll look at making the weapon .5-.6 slower andfrom 40-48 more damage. Most smiths will doDamage models whenasked IF they don't already have them stocked on the vendors.
I think that covered most of your questions. If I missed somthing or you have anymore just ask.

I think your lost on the purpose of bh carbine use. Its not to do damage but to hit states on a target in which speed is the goal. Armor peirceing dosent matter at all nor does damage type. They all work perfectly for knockdowns and dizzy. My advice atleast when it come to BH carbines. Is keep it simple and keep the ham low. Have a smith make you a unstocked dh17 carbine. Its ham is very small and you can spray specials with it. You will need that to get a state to actually stick on your opponent.
