You can get visible scopes and stocks on some weapons. The scope and orstock needs to be either hand crafted or pulled from a factory crate before being put into the schematic, sort of a little bug. When you look at them in the vendor, you will not see the scope or stock even if it is on there, however, once you get it in your inventory and equip it, you will see the added components.

No you cannot get a scope on a t21, but you can get a stock, and the laser will accept both.

Also, the stock/scope/muzzle on the weapon will only be visible to you. Everyone else will see you holding the generic base model weapon.

There was some talk around patch time about customizations becoming visible to others, but that was not confirmed and showed up at the same time as a new weapon display bug, so I think it's just a result of that bug and not the devs implementing something they said was physically impossible.

Actually the other day I crafted a EE3 with stock, sold it to someone and they modeled it for me, I saw the stock just fine. BTW, the EE3 looks GREAT with a stock!

Hello all.

I am not a weaponsmith.

All the weapons I've seen for sale do not have a visible stock or scope. My question is why ? Is the schematic bugged that the scope/stock don't show up even if they have been used ? or are the weaponsmiths not using them ? If not using them, why ?

I have seen a nuimber of weapons in game (static objects, not actual weapons used by player/npc) that had a visible stock/scope/barrel

I am mostly interested in rifles.

Namely ... is it possible to get laser or t-21 with visible stock/scope ?

Someone told me you have to have the relevantdisplay options turned up to maximum to see stocks/scopes and muzzles on other players.

T21's don't take scopes - go figure.

Stocks & Barrells show up if you take them out of the crate & manually craft the firearm.

What states determine visibility to whom (creator, owner, viewer) is a complete & utter toss-up.

I get a kick, almost a year later, of seeing barrells, when they do show up - showing up perpendicluar to the weapon itself.

Finally, some weapons consistently show all components - such as the EE3, while others, fuggedabout it.

Chalk it up to a bug that will probably not get fixed anytime in the conceivable future. It's far too niggling to bother with.
