Hello there!

Just a quick question from a non WS. What does the wound modifier on rifle stats do?

I've been told this affects the chance of a critical hit, is that right?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it affects your chance to inflict a wound on your target

In PvE your wound rating means nothing...if your hammering the thing until its dead you dont have to worry about its max HP anymore do you.

Wound comes into play in PvP high wound% will increase your chances of causing battle wounds to other players. Then they will need to go to doctors or dancers to have it healed. The doctors and dancers will then have extra money to spend on things like foods and Bio-clothes. Bio-tailors will then need to get DNA samples and will need people to take them hunting. The people that take them hunting will need better weapons, and that how it gets back to us.

Use high wound....It helps our pocke......the economy.

Dancers dont cure wounds anymore. The wound chance is to small to be of any real value tbh and to top it it can be capped on most weapons without enhancers.

I would like to see wound becoming a larger factor in pvp like it was in the old flamethrower days, with fire. Would be nice if we got another line of importance

Ahh yes, remember when a group of Commando's could take down an Ancient Krayt faster than anything else in the game.....

I know the CU brought a lot of good changes, but I miss a lot of the old combat - wound, damage type etc all used to be important and interesting aspects of combat that you had to take into consideration.... all gone forever

I was wondering if it was literally your wounds. It just seemed too logical for SOE

My guildie was wrong then, with his critical theory

Thanks guys!

I seem to always cap out wound in my weapons not matter what I do.. maybe its cause I use preCU stuff all the time.
