Thread: Rarest resources

I'm bringing back my crafting alt post cu and i'm giving ws a go. I have a couple of resource crates and was wondering what the more experienced smiths here would use them for. I realize that resources vary across the servers but in pre cu crafting thre were always certain resources with one critical stat that are rarest. From reading the forums i see that Cor ded wood with high sr is very difficult to find so i thoughtof using one deed for that. Anything else equally rare? I will be collecting resources for a good while before crafting as i don't believe in making weapons with inferior resources and relying on an inspiration buff to get the numbers up. Thank you in advance for any imput you can give me.

I think the best thing to do is talk with a couple of WS on your server. Although something like high SR wood may be rare, it alos may have spawned recently on your server and be easily available through vendor search.
Your local WS should have a good idea of what hasn't spawned in a long time and what will be hard if not impossible to find through vendor search.

most of the older players like i'm guessing you are know 1 or more ws. Ask them what you need to get. If you are friends he will help you. Well i like to think that. Offcourse you need a lot of stuff. Best bet is to do a swgcraft.com run to check the curret best resources.

The rarest I have noticed recently on Bloodfin server is Rhodium Steel and Green Diamond Crystalline Gemstone. It would be nice to have these but I've discovered alternatives tousing these resources i.e. using high quality standard components or looted components. I would look at what the most effective resource is in crafting a particular weapon and not resource rarity, this way you will get quality weapons.However,if the resource is essential and rare that would get my vote.
