Thread: New Buffs Question

Maybe im stupid....but i have no idea how to get the new buffs...i watch a dancer or listen to a musician and i get the buff that increases faction and XP....how do i get the specific weaponsmith buff?


i know...its probably a stupid question, then again im a stupid person

You need to ask a musician to apply the WS buff to you. The need to use /inspire on you and choose the WS buff specifically

I agree with the original poster. This isn't easy to figure out. Even the entertainers I spoke to weren't sure about it.


Is there a specific "weaponsmith" buff? The only entertainer that I could find (not AFK) that could do a crafting buff it was called "Artisan Inspiration Enhancement" and was applied by a dancer.

Yes there is an inspiration buff for each crafter. SoE in thier great wisdom made it so it is convoluted and difficult to get to. Personally they should just make a /inspiration command and put the crafters profession in to apply it instead of the hot key followed by a menu followed by it not working for one reason or another yadda yadda

What Summer said...Just find a friendly ATK MUSICIAN, ask them for a Weaponsmith buff, enjoy the show, chat with the musician, tip them a little something, soak up the cantina atmosphere, interact with other players...before you know it, you're inspired and you can go craft up a storm

Great... well the subs I crafted with the artisan buff came out better than previous.. hopefully there isn't much difference cause I dont want to have to destroy 300 sub components.


I shoulda realized it wasn't the right one because I remember people saying that artisans only got 1%...


why the hell would they make a specific buff for each profession instead of one buff for all crafting proffessions???


Can only musicians apply the WS buff?? its hard enough finding any type of entertainer thats not AFK in my galaxy.. Now I need just a Musician???

yeah it has to be a musician and I feel your pain. Used over an hour looking for one earlier today with a costumer waiting for a special order to be completed. Gave up and Im now grinding my alt to novice.

Perhaps in a couple of week once the entertainers have found out themselves that we need them, there will be more musicians around. Untill then its going to be time consuming to prepare for crafting Im afraid

I didn't really want to do this, as I am all for interdependancy and meeting new people...BUT...I usually craft early in the morning, right after server reset, so I have had a really hard time finding someone on. I may grind my alt to musician as well to cover these less-than-peak times regarding musicians.


On another note, I'm trying to set up a "Crafter's Cantina" in my 'research center' city...get one of each crafting station, a food vendor for crafting and combat foods. Initially, put my alt in there, but encourage 'real' entertainers to come set up shop...hopefully it will become a 'go-to' place for crafters on my server. Dunno if it will work, but feel free to steal the idea

I really didnt want to either and I am all for interdependency as people who have read my previous posts might be aware off, but I want to be able to play when I feel like it, not when I am able to find a musician.

In a couple of weeks it might be easier to find one and perhaps Ill drop the novice musician then, but atm it seems impossible to make do without an alt musician

Yeah my cantina is right across the way from the crafting hall. And am currently working on PAYING live entertainers to work there etc. But that is gunna get expensive fast sadly.

Yep i'm in the same boat. No Musicians on when i usually play/craft.


Not sure if i will have my BH alt drop some skills (I need him to find enhancements but thats not very lucrative at the moment either) to pick up musician.

I found on the musicians forum. It might be helpful if the musician doesn't know how to apply the buffs yet.
