I have a question which I am sure someone knows the answer to. First off I have read the sticky messages and rifled through a ton of posts looking already (this is to save the time of the board lurkers)
Weapon scopes and rifle stocks. I have made both items in advanced and 'normal' mode and they don't seem to do much except make the HAM costs go up...Am I missing what they do? I have tried experimenting the HAM cost (efficiency) and that does reduce the extra HAM costs but still makes it more self deadly then a non-scoped weapon.
Thanks for the info in advance.

I can experiment range on 'em up to around +35 or so for ideal, *or* I could go with damage and get around +20-30 damage on 'em. (that's on advanced components)
But I'm only a 7 point WS so far.
I made an AS 9.1 / 101-146 damage / +122 ideal / 63 72 102 HAM (yeah, that HAM is *very*deadly) Tusken rifle
and I made an AS 7.0 / 157- 233 / +67 ideal / 63 72 102 HAM Tusken Rifle
just messing around. Now, if I could someone get either of these to my character on Bria, it would be great. (I only have 1-0-0-1 in Marksman on my Bria character, so I don't have any big specials yet to drain ham)

With a gun like that specials would kill you way faster than the baddies would

Well I can get the advanced scopes down to 3 HAM but no such luck for the stocks. Do the scopes help with accuracy and if so how can I tell if my weapon is not going to be able to hit a barn door without having to have the certification to shoot it?

The general consensus is not to bother with adv scopes
I put a standard scope on any weapon that will take it
my scope are generally 0/0/0 +11 range
only adv stocks are worthwhile and even then only on a few guns
90% of the Laser rifles I sell are stocked
other guns that are often stocked are the LLC and the T21
other things:
Adv pistol barrels are only useful to high end pistoleers
Adv rifle barrels are useless

generally its not advisable to epxeriment a std scope down to 0/0/0 tho as there are decimals that you can't see and they almost always add 1 to all the hams anway in the final weapon so experiment hamd to 1/1/1 and then put the rest into range its not uncommon to get +12 and 1/1/1.
