Ok so anyone can still repair a weapon its all about the tool not the person or the skill?

Anyone can repair it, but some people (myself included) believe that there is a hidden skill modifiergiven to masters forrepairing a weapon. I believe weaponsmithes have a better chance to repair successfully, but anyone has a chance to repair successfully.

I would tend to agree with you, but there is nothing documented regarding this issue at all. I can tell you I had 5 weapon repair tools before they issued the Repair ratings on them and out of those 25 weapons I never broke a single weapon. As soon as I started using the 99.999999 repair tools they broke. Plus once they ratings did come out my tools that never broke weapons from the old repair kits were only like 48.xxxx so tell me how that works? I dont believe anyone has a better chance currently then anyone else

I wish the devs would confirm it, but I believe strongly that weaponsmiths do a better job of repairing weapons than non-weaponsmiths...

Skill matters. It has mattered since October 2003.

# Items with low hitpoints are now unrepairable.
# The difficulty to repair an item now increases as the item becomes more damaged.
# Skilled crafters gain bonuses for the repair of items within their field.
End Quote>>>>>>>>>>>>
But still we have those who wish to spread rumors that it doesnt matter. Oh well I guess everyone digs thier own grave sometimes.
The only question that is actually worth questioning is "Does the tool quality matter?". Because that is something that really has never been documented.

I am sure this has been asked 2 mil times, but does it matter who repairs your weapon currently? Do weapon smiths or Arts have any repair skill yet or does it all come down to use a 99.9999999 tool by whoever uses it.
