A guy comes to me with a pretty badly damaged bunch of FWG5's... Most were below 100 condition.

I whip up some of my 99.404% repair kits and get to work. After handing the guns to him he says, "ummm some of these are weird." So I ask him to show me what he's talking about. I then had him hand over one of the weird ones to me so I could screenshot it for my fellow weaponsmiths. Lemme know what you make of this screenshot.

Has this happened to any of you before? This is a first for me.

A few months ago I made some random guns and had stats like100 min, 95 max on the same gun. Probably just a fluke since I haven't had it since, but I've never seen a successful repair do that to a gun.

I've got a Krayt Scout that had the exact same thing happen. I screwed up and let the condition get down to about 90, the repair message said you have repaired with a few dings or something like that and the damage is something like 10-26. **edit**?

Weapons with condition below a certain point (around 25%) will have their stats degrade rapidly.

Sometimes, upon successful repair, the weapon will be restored to its old stats. Other times, even after a successful repair, it's stuck forever.

Also, sometimes damage goes up a bit but not back to its original stats. I fixed a krayt scatter that was down to like 60 max, and it went up to 75ish.

i would have to say the logical thing would be for it to do the minimum damage listed every time... that is unless the maximum damage listed is not actually 95 but to high to be listed due to database constraints... in that case one of two things would happen when that gun is fired... either you will kill someone/something in 1 shot (100-10095 damage) or i could see a critical error happening... worse case scenario... it crashes... the clien, the cluster... maybe even the whole galaxy... but that is an extreme case... more than likely you will do the 100 min damage on a consistant basis

And sometimes, once in a great while, the weapon's stats not only go back to their original maximum, but the damage can actually permanently increase by a couple points. Haven't figured out how or why yet, but it's happened to me three times so far.

I have also seen a weapon with a lower max. damage than it's min. damage. Truly bizarre.

maybe what happened isboth min and maxstats degraded as the cond dropped and then when it was repaired the repair only fixed the min damage?

I believe that when you repair a weapon, the stats change by a certain percentage.
