Thread: Grenade Subcomponents and Quality?

I had a few guildmates (and a couple customers)ask me if I could make them C22 and Proton grenades so i decided i'll break down and make some even though they appear to be a real pain to craft.


Just wanted to check if quality of the subcomponents/resources matters with grenades?


Also what is the avererage pricing on crates of grenades on your server? One guildie said that he was buying C22s for 100k a crate and Thermal Detonators for 70k and he hasn't been able to find any Protons.

Yes, subcomponents quality matters, just like ABPH quality matters when crafting ranged weapons. On starsider, I sell full crates of C12 and C22 (almost take the same resource amount, same subcomponents) for 40k a crate. Usually if I advertise, a run of 20 of each will sell out within a day or so.

Great thanks for the info.


Can someone give me an idea of stats for the different subcomponents. It doesn't list them in the "Reference for high end MWS components".


Just crafted a Light Warhead Mechanism schematic and got 27-133 dmg, 2 wound. I'll list my statsfor the others once i've finished crafting them.


the other subcomponentI'm interested in (at this time) are:


Medium Warhead Mechanism: 18-28 dmg, 0.005 speed, -3 rng, 3 HAM.


Warhead Fusing Mehanisim: 45-189 dmg, 2 wnd


Warhead Stabalizing Device: 47-47 dmg, 0.004 speed, 14 wnd, -1 ideal rng, 3 HAM.



Edited to add stats.. let me know how these compare to other WS munitions subcomponents

I think you have those two stats reversed.


I'll help you with grenades.


First, you will need 3 Factories to Speed produce C12's and C22's. 4 Factories for Thermal/Imperial Det. 5 Factories for Protons. Grenades and there part are VERY complex and that translates into a long time to produce. My Imperial Detonators are 424 seconds. That is like 4.5 days for crates to produce. Medium warheads are around 350-400 seconds as well.



  1. When you make the subcomponents, label them to avoid mistakes. Warhead Fusing 1 Light warhead 1

  2. Start production of the Subcomponents using one factory for each part.

  3. One day passes then go pullone crate of each matching numbered part.

  4. Make a Grenade schematic with the matching numbered parts.

  5. Load Grenade Schematic and enough resources to make 999(schematic eats 1)grenades in that factory.

  6. Transfer matching parts from parts factories to grenade factory.

  7. Be sure not to forget to turn on the factories, after you transfer parts over.

  8. Every day go to the factories and transfer the parts into the grenade factory. (this is why you need labels)

  9. You basically cut 10+ days to make a full 40 crate run into about 4'ish days. (on the Big nades)

  10. Process works on the little nades as well. Make a full 40 crate run in 2 days'ish.

As for your main question........It's all about choosing the right resources. The betteryour resources the better your end products will be. Maximize your choices to get the most for the resources. Why do I say this......ONE factory run of Imperial Detonators will burn up 157k units of Steel!!

Yep i did get the stats mixed up. it should be:

I was just curious how my stats hold up to other WS simce i never made grenades b4. Thanks for the info about factories and such but I've been a Master WS for almost a year now, so I think i know my way around a factory.
