Thread: Noob WS Question To be a 12Pt Weaponsmith

Soo ...... what do i need to do to become officially a 12Pt Weaponsmith ??? im Master Weaponsmith (obviously) i have the Crafters Apron ( +5 to Assembly and Repair and +3 to Experimentation ) and i got a Ca ( Weapon Assembly 4 ) , what should i do to become a 12Pt powerful wEaponsmithY?

Well, since you have the WS toolkit already, you need another +17 in Weapon Experimentation attachments, that'll get you up to +120 which will get you 12 points.

but will a 12pt WS be any better than a 10pt after the CU?

Since damage and speed are separate experimentation lines in the CU, I'd say that being a 12 point smith will be more important, as those extra two points can help to up the DPS of a weapon.

Since you state you are new, I feel compelled to drop a little advice:


If you don't have stocks of HQ resources for your weapons you are much better off spending your time, effort, and creditsgetting them rather than skill tapes.

/agree with the post above, high quality resources are far more important than being a 12 point smith. Focus on getting the best quality resources you can for now, 12 points will come with time.

I got TONS of resources, I got so many i created a vendor for storage right next to my 45MAG crafting station.


I just wish some things would spawn.... like the solid fuel for make'n advance vibro units, (sure some spawned a few months ago but with none of the stats over 500 is wasn't worth my time to survey for it)

You do know stats on Class 3 solid fuel used in vibro motors dont matter? I hit 38 max I think with some 100oq and some 800oq.

Yeah the only thing that matters stat wise on the Adv Vibro Motors is the Copper. The stats (at least pre-CU) for the Solid Petro don't even come into play.
