Thread: CU Bug Scopes and Stocks not Correct
Stocks add nothing to damage. I have crafted e11 carbine with and without stock. No dmg difference but there is a speed difference. Stock Screenie below.
Stock with no dmg stat
Scopes are adding nothing to the accuracy. Screenie below.
Scope at the experiment screen
Hope we can get these issues up the chain.

I think what he means is - Why does the experiment bar have a "Experimental Damage" when there is no damage stat in the item?

Helios_SOE wrote:Since we no longer have min/mid/max range bonuses (because we no longer have min/mid/max range accuracy differences), we moved to one "general accuracy" value. The "Accuracy" on a weapon should stack with your other accuracy modifiers (from skill mods, etc). You will also notice we got rid of the "mid distance" stat all together. Weapons now only have min/max distances.
CrimsonRanger wrote:Thanks for the reply, Helios. Are you referring to a general accuracy bonus like the combat skill currently provides? If so, does that stack with, and possibly cap, the accuracy combat skill? If not, how exactly will it work? Thanks.
There is still an accuracy mod on the weapons. If you take a look at the screenshots of the crafted weapons that I've made, you'll see they have accuracy bonus stat. If a scope does nothing to that accuracy mod...then what use?

Weaponstocks without Damage modifiers?
i saw on you screen Attack Cost -2 but speed +1.xxx
this means the stock reduce the attackcost but increase the speed..
there is no need of stocks then
hoping they will fix it .....

My Question as a nonWS is: Did they fix the issue that an added scope or stock isnt viewable on the completed weapon. I really like the old EE3 with scope and stock.
There was no bug - only certain weapons could show the attached components (the EE3 could show all, while others couldn't show any or only certain ones) and then it was only visible to the owner or if it was displayed on a wall in a house. If the weapons were made in a factory, then the components would not be visible at all - they had to be hand built.
Doesn't matter any longer though, because as of the CU we are losing the ability to attach visbile components. However some weapons under the new system will utilize their "extended" appearance (scopes and/or stocks will shown on them by default) the rest will use the default, blah appearance and won't be alterable by us. ![]()

from the above pic we see stocks only have stats for:
+ speed
+ wound
- attack cost
now something like the form fitted stocks had
+ damage
- speed
+ wound
(+ range)
with no attack cost mods.
How are these things being translated? I mean simply -speed & + wound would be super, but given how everything we've seen from the CU so far has some kind of give & take (from spices to armor) I just don't see how that would happen.

Scopes have always had an experimental damage line, despite having no damage stat. Experimenting it will add to the wound of the item. The bonus of the scope used to be the accuracy bonus...but that's gone now too.
It's possible that they've decided to take the damage away from the stock as well and just leave it to affect wound as well, but I have no idea why. There's really no point to using the stocks if not for the dmg increase as far as I can see.
So yeah....unless wound and attack cost are gonna become WAY more important in the new system, scopes and stocks aren't gonna have much purpose anymore.
attack cost is WAY more important than it has ever been.
you only ever have 1,000 action, this never goes up.
the best weapons after the CU will have as low an attack cost as possible.
its very easy to run out of action in a pitched battle on tc-ep3.
sorry i don't have a WS there to have held onto more loot.
