Thread: CU What are your customers saying?

I have been really busy making custom weapons lately. It seems alot of people are using up thier Krayt and other loot components prior to the CU. The uncertainty of the loot's future value is only one reason for this though.

The most disturbing aspect of this are some of the comments my customers are making:

"I figure I might as well use this now since I won't be here post CU."

"The CU is a joke. I am out of here when my current sub is up."

"Most of the peeps in my guild are going to quit over the CU."

If this were just a few people making such comments I would not be concerned. Every two out of three of my customer is trashing the CU when we converse. I can't help but take that as a bad sign.

Even if I survive the CU as a weaponsmith, I have to wonder if I will have ant customers left.

Hello , Fellow Master heWS here. Well i know there is a alot of bickering and complaining going on but this is the truth. 1) Alot of people may leave. 2) Alot say they will but won't (addiction is a beautiful thing). 3) doesnt really matter anyways .. because this game is based on one of the greatest most epic stories EVER written/produced. It will always have a constant flow of people playing. So i am personnaly going to strife to understand the new system like it is a new game and i am looking forward to it also.

And i'm pretty sure two out of three haven't even tested the CU and say such things they heard from other people.

I expect to see many people coming back from EQ2 and WoW to test the changes when they go live.

It depends on the devs to make it interesting enough so that these people will stay.

Personally I am ready to accept almost any change as long as it makes the game more challenging. With a few exceptions the game is far too easy the way it is now.

Most of my few customers are on a wait and see position. Some are trying to low ball me on weapons, useing the excuse those weapons will probably suck post CU so you should sell it to me cheap. Others just say theyll be back later after the cu before they spend any money on any weapon. So I have taken a wait and see position myself. I took all my enhanced weapons and put them in storage and halted all further weapon crafting till then. I understand the low ballers postion, but I am not giveing away the farm on speculation, Ill take the hit if they do come up as crap, but Ill dance to the bank if they come up roses. Its funny cause even guildees dont want any new weapons till after the CU and they get them free.

Ipock MA/MWS(12)/MDE(12)
Osav Master Slacker(currently MRifleman/MCombatMedic only cause I couldnt find anything I liked with rifleman and ran out of respecs and I was forced to a double combat mastery in the CU when I did just fine with just MRifleman pre CU lol )

Shop is closed (Currently looking at new locations.)

How about if a customer tells you she wont buy any high-end weapons anymore because she can kill a same-level mob with weapons made of the crappiest resources, but a critter two levels higher kills her anyway, no matter how good the weapon is? Weapon damage gets set off by the damage multiplier granted from the level difference pretty fast.
