Ok,
Finally made Master WS, spent an absolutely fortune on resources and got >20 experimentation tape to get me 12pt.
Ive made a reference laser carbine and a scythe blade but dont know how they measure up:
Laser Carbine: 83-318 HAM 43/66/49
(didnt use a form-fitting stock so got high HAM)
Sythe Blade: 190-337 HAM 40/63/33
Neither are sliced. I am a carbiner so obviously know that you can get Laser Carbines with higher stats but I am "assuming" its with Krayt tissue. The Scythe obviously needed some special components but these werent ubber.
I would like to know how far off the mark I am with these?
On the same topic, is there a site/post that tells you what you can expect to make?

Well, the damage difference can also be because its not sliced...if you get a fairly good damage slice, the scythe gets in the 400+ range...then its pretty good. I'm not sure about the carbine and can't be too much help, but its something :/

I usually compare my weapons to this guy's, even though we're on different servers. It's a good list of most of the craftable weapons you can make, made by a 12pt'r.

Thats an interesting web site, thanks.
I didnt realise you can make a 0 HAM scope. Will try that too.

If you can, add an adv. stock, most would say you should even at a loss to HAM. That can be up to 40/40 added damage.
Scopes can be experimented for efficiency and reduce the HAM totally, but I tend to go with damage (enhances wound%) and accuracy (enhances range mod). Most customers I know prefer to have the states stick better and the hit ratio to be higher over loss of HAM.
Your laser carbine is a little low, but that could be due to no stock. These are not to bad on resource requirements, so you should be able to experiment the damage into the 90% range as a standard.
The Scythe isnt bad either. I think the max damage exp I have on these is around 75%, but cant really remember. You want to be sure you are using crafted Geo cores for these, and not something looted. You can gain almost 50 points of damage with a good pair of crafted cores over anything I have ever seen looted. You will need 3 yellow geo cubes (over 10 damage is preferable) and 3 geo solid agents, plus a schem, all can be found in the geo caves on NPCs. Make a draft schematic and run a set of two geo cores to get best results from your scythe. I will not use anything but crafted geo cores of the highest quality for scythes as they are limited items.
Also, do not neglect condition on the final product. I never have points left over for HAM. Most players look at stats in an order similar to this:
1) damage
2) speed
3) condition
4) accuracy / ranged mods
5) wound %
6) HAM

Actually I did use a 40/40 stock. So I guess Ive got some work to do on the carbine. I must admit Im a bit paranoid over HAM as a carbiner , the carbine will completely deplete my HAM if I spam special moves. As I rearly miss I figures that it is more useful than accuracy. But carbines is all that I know so I will probably ask the client as you suggested to find out what they want.
I did make the Geo sword cores myself with Yellow cubes and solidifying agents. I cant remember the min damage but the max on the cores was around 65.
Also, whats the purpose of assembly? Should I try to max out on assembly as well? Will that increase my chances of getting a perfect experimentation run?
Thanks,
Fab

Oh yeah, one last thing. Whats the benefit of having the force experimentation and force assembly. Will it give you 13 points experimentation?

Unfortunately, you will never have 13 experimentation points. 12 is the cap. The force sensitive lines supposedly improve your chances of having a higher success modifier such as amazing and critical successes and assemblies. Supposedly, though I wouldn't know since I don't have the FC crafting lines, you will also rarely recieve the dreaded moderate success that screws up one of your stats everytime.
