Thread: DE-10: craft now, or wait until CU?

I have:
1 yellow de-10 barrel
1 DE-10 Schematic
3 96-max-damage, -.54-speed Krayt tissues
In your opinions, should I craft a DE-10 now, or wait until the CU to craft?

From the sounds of it, a post-CU DE-10 might not be as good as it is now. I've seen a couple of postings that indicate some other pistols will be better. This kinda goes against the devs' statement that uber weapons will remain uber.
At the very least, take a look at the posted weapons stats coming from TC. Then decide if you should sell it now or later.

I'm not sure tbh, personally.... no idea either, seeing how there is now a cap after the CU on stats that is comparatively low it seems that weapons that are far superior now will only be slightly superior later. Right now I'm still thinking whether or not to craft a couple of DE-10s myself. I'm clueless

The way is seems atm is scrap the DE-10, wait for the CU and make an uber republic blaster.....

One thing to consider, if you looted all your own components, then it probably won't matter too much to you since you'll still make money. If you bought components, it might be a different story.
Suppose you spent 2M on components for to make an awesome DE-10. You'd probably make good money selling it now. If you waited until after the CU and the pistol becomes devalued, then you could very well lose money when you sell the pistol. We just don't really know what the value of uber weapons will be.
I've noticed a bit of this kind of speculating on the Ahazi trade forums already. Scythes and other popular weapons are starting to loose some of their value and becoming harder to sell.
