Ok bear with me because I'm just getting into this profession.

I was able to grind out artisan with a fair amount of ease. Once I hit the newbie phase of weaponsmith it just appeared that I suddenly became the most inefficient crafter in the galaxy. Yes the low end stuff is not great. It should be better than what I can make as a master artisan with CDEF guns. The performance of these weapons was abysmal even. When I got decent materials it improved but not by all that much.

It seems ridiculous that in order to make anything of value that I must crawl up weapon crafting first. I realize that since many of you have done this you may not be sympathetic. My contention is that crafting should be enjoyable. Grinding out a buttload of projectile rifle barrels is not enjoyable. I'm a patient man and I realize that crafting is a time/money sink but something should be thrown our way to help us get there. I do sell some weapons but they dont even come close to covering costs with the market as it is. I certainly cant do a volume business without a factory and I'm pretty sure I still would have issues selling all the guns if I did have one.

Presently I'm a 0-2-0-3 crafter. I'll probably be hitting 0-2-0-4 this weekend thanks to my sponsor. I have that luxury at least and I couldnt imagine doing this without a sponsor.

Just a few questions

1. Is there even a point to adding scopes and stocks to my weapons?

2. Why does the efficiency of the Projectile weapon go down when i have a great success on experimentation?

Given the choice between style over substance. I'll take a sandwich.

Pretty much every novice smith has felt exactly like you feel. Novice Weaponsmith and Armorsmith, especially, just plain suck butt.

1) Scope, in the hands of a master, can be experimented to near zero ham cost. So it's free accuracy

2) Projectile feed experimentation is bugged.

For a novice the best thing you can do right now is prob make some scout blasters and sell them on the bazar. if you keep the bazar stocked with "decent" scout blasters you can bring in a little cash and possibly start a customer network. That is how I started out. I was selling anywhere between 20-30 per day. Granted is't only 75k but it is enough to keep you going in the begining until you can get yourself a vendor up.

Aaarggghhh! I feel your pain! I just made master after grinding for an eternity. I stopped a couple of times to try something out, but I concentrated on the grind since I knew as a non-master my items would be bazaar fooder and just take precious time from the mind numbing grind.

If you are a fighter, take time to run a well paying mission......have fun between the grind times.

If you are a master in another elite field, good. Don't quit that 'day' job yet!

Good Luck!
