Thread: FWG5 What is really happening?
The "base" stats will also probably change, since there won't be any BPH bonuses any more.
This is just an assumption, I'm not on TC.
Here's the question I have. Long story short I put my characteron ice to recover from Weaponsmith burnout.
Is it going to be worth jumping back on to make a bunch of pre-nerfFWG5, and Krayt FWG5?
Ithought of storing a couple crates so when I go back to the business I have an item to put my store back on the map.
I can tell you what is really happening on my server (Intredid). Players are running around stockpiling what will be pre-nerf SWGs. Certain Weaponsmiths have had their venders cleaned out of these weapons. Of course, in response to the demand, the prices are soaring. One player I know wanted to buy a crate of good FWG5s (25/crate) and was quoted a price of a million credits......which works out to 40k per gun that would have been in the 12k range per gun range before word of the gun nerf came out. So when the fix or nerf (how ever you want to see it) goes live, there will be the haves and have nots, which will effect game play later.
Is this happening on other servers?
So scatter pistol is for sure being nerfed along with Dx2 etc>? Meaning they are losing the PH's .... ?
Is this confirmed??
The power handlers are being removed from the projectile weapons that they are currently allowed in. This was a mistake, since it allows for two power sources (one blaster, and one projectile). The other weapons being affected by this changeare the Scatter pistol, the Launcher pistol, and an unnamed weapon (probably the rocket launcher).
However, as far as how it affects stats, we don't really know, since several other fixes are going in that also affect these guns. For example, feeders are finally being fixed so they can be fully experimented, and a problem with crafting in general was allowing better than intended stats, and is also being corrected (although this is still being discussed because of public outcry).

The public is actually wrong on this one. The stats aren't going down on weapons, they're simply being made harder to experiment. It is now going to take the full 10 Experimentation points to "max out" any given Experiment category. Considering that most of us just bother with Damage anyway, it won't change much for Master Weaponsmiths. For Non-Masters, expect your weapons to blow chunks.

Ahh ... Dtox ... you are usally on top of stuff :-)
The stats *will* go down cause there will be no additional 20-40 damage APH in the gun ... but ... supposedly the feeder will be fixed, but I don't think it will be *fixed* to the point where it will make up for the 40 points from the APH.
Plus ... in current versions you can put a HFVM *and* a Krayt into the gun ... after patch, cause there is no APH, there will be no Krayt FWG5's ... and that will bring down the max possible damage as well.
But you are correct in that the new experimintation will not bring down *damage* stats ... it will bring down *overall* stats in that a weaponsmith might not have any left over points to put into HAM or Range Modifiers :-)
Sounds like I need to take a vacation from my vacation. If FWGs are going for 40K now, I'd like to see what pre-nerf FWGs will be at 3-4 weeks from now.
Looks like the factory will have to be fired up over the weekend.
