Thread: A Question about quality to master ws

sorry about all these questions. but as a newbie master i have no idea what is good or not good.

every gun i make, even at master using advanced components i'm being told they suck and are pretty low quality. like ok????

Here is a scatter pistol using an advanced projectile feed mech, and advanced projectile pistol barrels. Normal blaster power handlers though - i can't make these yet. The same for the FWG5 i made.

Scatter pistol:
speed: 2.0 (this seems good to me?)
min: 105
max 153 (much higher then anything i've ever made)
wound: 39.8%

it is scoped (normal scope)

attack costs: 25/58/25

same kind of components for this too.
FWG5 pistol:
speed: 1.9 (lowest i've seen for me anyway)
min: 50
max: 167
wound: 25.9%

it is scoped (normal scope)

action costs: 20/44/26

yet he is looking for one that has damage over 200 ??? i've never seen one in the, what, 5 months i've been playing?

i'm quite frustrated with this!!!

what do u think and what am i doing wrong?

if you would rate it - what would you rate both of these weapons indivually?
poor
good
excellent
awsome

thanks!

those HAMs look really high, are you experimenting your scopes for damage instead of efficiency? The only way a scope is worthwhile is if the HAM cost reads as 1/1/1 or 0/0/0 (which is still 1/1/1 anyway).

Secondly, your damage is a little low, especially on the FWG5. How bout posting the stats on all the subcomponents you used, and the qualities of the materials involved. I bet that's where your problem is.

hmmm ok ... i'll get back to you on the stats later ... and yes i am experimenting on damage for scopes. whats the point otherwise? don't you want the wound damage?

Those are pretty bad IMO... your probably not using the best resources though. On Eclipse before I retired I was making 63-214, 1.7 FWG5s and 120-192, 1.8 scatters. It takes a while to figure out the profession btw. You typically want to experiment the components until u get very good sucess and then get them in a factory and mass produce, almost every gun u make should be in a factory.

Also you always want to experiment HAM on scopes, Id take the accuracy with no HAM over +5 wound and +8 HAM any day....

Actually, to answer you're question, nobody really cares about wound, of even looks at it usually. In fact, most people don't really want scoped weapons either, unless you can take the HAM down to 1/1/1 or something, which pretty much renders it useless anyway.

First thing i see is the regular handlers. I assume you are waiting for resources for the adv. ones, and when you get them you'll see a big difference. Adv. handlers on my server are about 42 max, -.42 speed, with some exceptional materials. Expect yours to be about 35-40 at first, assuming you have relatively decent stuff to make them with.

After that, I'd guess the rest has to do with the resources you're using. How far are you being allowed to experiment the weapon and it's subcomponents? The best materials will allow this to reach 100%. I'd guess that your barrels are probably fairly low, but that's just a guess. Plus, finding a good iron to use will make these much better as well, since the iron is usually the worst of the materials you'll have to use for guns.

Here's some numbers to compare to, using all advanced components, no scope and no krayt tissue:

FWG5 64-212 1.8

Scatter Pistol 120-189 1.9

It's all about having the very best resources possible. That's really the hard part of weaponsmithing. Compared to collecting resources, the grind is a joke. Good luck!

Scope fully experimented forefficiency will add 0-1 HAM and +10 ideal range accuracy. This is a very significant boost on most weapons and there is no reason NOT to use them on everything you make.
