Ive now tried several times that after maxing the dmg pool on a weapon and switching to putting points into efficiency, a moderate success will reduce the max dmg.
This makes no sense to me and annoys me to no end.
Anyone know if this is due to a recent patch or has it been that way a while?

Maybe its only when you stock a weapon?

Non-great/amazing results have the potential to decrease any stat. Make some power handlers, get a crap result on durability (which has no effect at all) and it'll screw the damage more often than not. This is why you should never experiment durability on BPHs - no benefit from good results, and bad results will screw up damage.

Yeah same goes for any component with a durability bar. Why the hell don't they just remove this useless feature, or else actually make it mean something?

Always been that way .... moderates and goods can negatively affect other stats. Very dumb.
