I was hunting in the geo cave and a guy there looted the pistol schematic (exceptional). I was shocked, but he showed it to me and it was the real deal. My friend is interested in buying it and making some pistols, but is unsure wether the pistols will be exceptional or just regular. Has anybody ever looted any exceptional or legendary schematic and can help clear up what bonuses (if any) that it gives?

I've never heard of that happening before.

My guess is that the schematic will be exactly the same as a regular one. Exceptional/legendary gives the item better stats and skill mods and stuff, but since a schematic has no stats it won't do anything besides change the name.

Myself and some friends looted a Geo Pistol Schematic from the Mercenary Room in the Geo cave. yes very rare as far as I know.

Gave the Schematic to Braxas, Weapon Smith on Kett with the following results...

With yellow cubes, 129-226/2.7 condition was around 710

2nd batch 128-231/2.7 condition was around 715

With green cubes, 117-212/2.7 condition was around 1055

He hasn't tried red cubes yet..

I doubt there'll be a difference, but am dying to hear anyway. I have an exceptional reinforcement core schem that I never bothered to use since I figured it's more valuable as exceptional loot for display.

ive used em and there is NO difference
