I would advise getting with some miners or other WS on your server and learning the resources before you go and spend all that cash on any.
Get some cheap resources and learn your weapons. Figure out if theres something you want to specialize in.
Avoid making large runs of any weapons right now as the CURB is around the corner and what is popular today may not be tomorrow.
Be very careful buying weapon enhancements until you are well versed in what they are worth. You dont want to overpay for an ackaly bone thats only as good as a geo cube.
Lastly, GET TO KNOW SOME OTHER WS ON YOUR SERVER. Can't be overstated. You can learn alot from them and they will help you to avoid the mistakes they made starting out.
And yes, Id skip the 12 points. Not really worth it IMO.

yeah thats sounds good
im already going into buisness with an established ws on my server, was thinking about mass producing grenades for quick cash.
But as for real investment, think ill do as you suggest and hang fire while our universe changes around us

Using the global vendor search I have found literally over 400 krayt tissues and almost all of them are decently priced. Base stat ones for like 10-30k. Not sure how many krayt tissues floating around on your server but you could probably make a decent living off of buying and selling krayt enhanced weapons.
You would want to have nice resources though first of course.

The 12pt issue is a tough one. Granted, it won't matter ALL that much when you craft most weapons. You'll see the increase in condition, as dmg is mostly maxed out with 10pts, and range and ham isn't really worth the effort to experiment on.
That being said, I'd like to emphasize a few pros to being a 12pointer. I am running a large business on my server. Shop in Cnet, bla bla bla.. the usual stuff. I have my MWS tag on all the time, as I'd like for people to know who I am, and what I do. And a lot of people will send me tells asking me to craft them a weapon. Many of them will ask if I am a 12pointer. Now I know it doesn't make much of a difference, but they don't. They think that having 12pt magically transforms their weapon into something a little better than the rest.
Second thing is, on subcomponents, such as stocks for instance. Having 12pts is actually very nice. Overall, having the two extra points will help you "make up" for the moderate successes you get, disabling you from maxing dmg on a weap. Those extra 2 points could help you out there. My advice: start crafting weapons and running your shop. The 2 extra points will present themselves along the way.
As stated also, getting to know a WS on your server is a good thing. But beware - not all are overeager to share their secrets, in particular when it comes to sharing resources. Many people have spent lots of time and effort on getting their resources (and it IS difficult, what with all the named resources we use), so having somebody come along, and ask if they can just buy out of your stock, does tick some people off. But of course, it doesn't hurt to ask, as long as you do it nicely.
Besides that, just travel around, checking vendors for other people's weaps, check stats, and try to match, or possibly outdmg, them. Watch trade forum a lot. Don't miss on interesting offers from other players.

Most importantly have fun. If the custom weapons work gets to be to much dont do it for like a week or two. Dont make it to tough on yourself but if you do want to be the best there is a lot of work for you.

hi fellow smiths, today i became a master
Also, as an additional boon, i aquired 15 million selling my adk so i can stock up some nice resources / tissues etc.
If anybody could give me some advice where to invest this cash i would appreciate it. As i am a noobie mws i havnt a clue what is selling atm or what is hard to shift.
I was thinking of buying a ca to make me a 12 point , but from what i have been reading it is really not worth the substansial financial outlay.
thx in advance
