Howdy;
Was waiting for Wanderhome to load and came across some interesting data while pushing the numbers around. I ignored pricing and just tallied totals of various types of weapons and equipment sold. It was a little different than I would have thought. At this stage of the game - for me at least - these values are more of a curiosity than useful - but someone getting into the Weapon Smith mode may find them useful. Now I must admit - price wise the lower percent weapons sold probably come way ahead. I would rather sell a T21 any day over a scout, heh heh.

VEHICLES: Not enough real data on these since they have not been here long, but the X34 and Speeders were evenly matched at a 5 to 1 ratio to Swoops.

WEAPONS: The DLT20's, Knuckles and D18's were about evenly matched and accounted for almost 60% of total sales.
Dh17, Gad Batons, and Scatters were even and did about 20%.
Scouts, DL44's and FWG's also about evenly matched and consumed 10% of total sales to date.

What is surprising here is the quantity of these items - at least to me. I was aware of the knuckles but really had no idea so many lower end weapons were being purchased. As mentioned - a curiosity now - but possibly useful to those starting out.

Lower-end weapons are at a premium right now just because so many people are taking up new professions as soon as they master their current professions - all the while trying to grind to Jedi-dom...

I wonder how many of these people enjoy the grind.

I wonder how many of these people will enjoy the jedi grind...

If you enjoy neither, it's no longer a game for you then, is it?

As a rising WS I can barely keep Naboo's bazaar stocked with DH17 Short Carbines and Metal Staves. DL44's and curved swords go pretty fast too. It's let me stop doing survey missions and still pay maintainance and power on my 7 medium harvs.

The low end of the market is definitely hot right now.

My best non-loot-enhanced profit maker has to be metal staves. In general, melee weapons are the best profit margins. High-end weapons like LLC's and DXR6 I sell at low profit margin and I barely sell any.

Howdy;

Agree with the above - Knuckles use 65 units and sell for $2-8K, while a Scout uses 162 units for about the same price ranges. So I usually crimp the price a little on the Melee.

The above figures Hit Points Per Second Squared which is how I have been pricing them. (Always give em the 1K durability first to save a repair or two - good for business).

And additionally, probably correct on the switching of skills. The knuckles are self explained since the fad of the day does seem to be TK, heh.
