Thread: Looted cores vs schematic cores and some questions about serials

Last night I was experimenting using both looted and schematic cores in gads and swords.
I was.... um...... pretty damn disappointed to say the least.
Of the 2 reinforcementcoresI made (both with yellow cubes) one gadwasa significant improvement over those made with my advanced cores.
Here's the stats:
153-223
3.4
-3/-3/-3
61/31/19
The only difference between my regular baton, being that the minimum damage is higher (good weapon with mitigation in effect). There was no change in the maximum damage. I did have one mod success, which may be the reason for this.
I also tried using some of the looted sword cores --- all I can say is what a pathetic waste of materials. Made every weapon worse - (these all with great and good successes, using the very best materials).
Are these looted coresonly good for scythes? Has anyone else been experimenting with these? Will schematic sword cores make a difference in a curved or a Rykk?
(Why do I feel fencers really got the shaft - AGAIN when it comes to enhanced weapons)?
Also, with respect to serial schematicreinforcementand sword cores. Are power cubes and enhancementsdropped in lots of 5? The reason I ask this, if I wanted to say, make someone a scythe and keep one for myself, I'd need five total cubes given one is used in the schematic....
I recall reading that white power cubes do not need to be serial - is this a bug? If so, I'd like to know, so that I don't flirt with "exploiting".

hey m8.
sofar the reinforced cores i make myself are better than the geonosian reinforced,so i don't use them for anything.
the looted swordcores which can be used for the scyte come in different shapes n sizes.some have poor damage,other pretty good.
powercubes i found in drops of 3/5/9 myself.
and white cubes also need to be serial.altho i do have some with no serial at all.i tried to add these together with serial ones,which didn't work.

What kind of stats do you get on a crafted genosian core?
I'll concur that the looted ones seem kinda junky (at least the base ones)

Heya Easy,
I can't recall - I did make one without any sort of "enhancer" - the result was to bring the minimum damage on my gad up - didn't touch the max damage tho.
