Thread: Weapons variety proposal. What would the other Weaponsmiths think of this . . .
It would get complicated after a while, but I think it would add more variety to weapons made of the same schematic.
I think they really needed to have a "weight" or "density" attribute on materials. could have done a lot with that.
So currently all categories of the Experimental properties use the same attributes. Such as AS: Cond, OQ; MAX DMG: Cond, OQ; MIN DMG: Cond, OQ.
My question is, who would like to see this changed. I would like to see variety in the required attributes. I think that this will allow for MANY different weapons and a whole new perspective to weaponsmithing. If say it was something like AS: Mal, OQ; MAX DMG: Cond, OQ; MIN DMG: SR, OQ.
Who thinks that such a change would be good for crafting? Then people could specialize in low HAM weapons. Or high speed weapons. Or High Max Dmg weapons.
I think that this could add a lot of variety to the marketplace.

Perhaps some more "optional components" that could be applied to weapons. So, I can make that FWG5 have AP1, but it'll cost you damage/ham/speed.
I would like to see components haveing different requirements reflecting their uses in the weapon. For example I would like to see barrels go off of Heat Resistance and Unit Toughness while powerhandles should go off of Conductivity and OQ for example. I think this would serve diversity without getting to complicated. I think the only problem with the current system is still too many things rely on Con, OQ still.

Maybe sometime way down the road. Too many other things that need to be worked on first.

Firstly I will point out that I am a NEWB Master Weaponsmith so what I am about to say is probably completely ludicrous. I think what I would like is that All attributes have some positive effect. For example if you get a iron with high UT, you will get more damage.. If you have one with high conductivity you get better speed. High OQ will have an effect on everything.... etc. I have not thought this through to entirety, I just like saying stuff that people have to listen tooinorder to get to the next thread.
Thanks!
