Okay, I tried making this weapon. Perhaps my mistake was using a High (whatever) Pistol Barrel I got as a reward, but the speed and damage of this FWG5 does not make up for the skill mods. I attribute the problem to the fact that the FWG5's resources require high Conductivity and Overall Quality, of which the called for resources always seem to lack.

Has anyone else noticed this?

what sort of results are you expecting? I hit really close to the speed of the old ones, and within about3-5 points on the damage. Expecting one as good as the prenerf fwg5? Good luck!

if you do a single craft of a schematic you can drop a feeder mechanism and come up near 195 max damage. although speed will still be around 2.3

Hijacking this thread to ask a question about the featherweight FWG5. Pardon me.

I got the schematic as a reward. I'm not a weaponsmith, nor do I have any hopes of being one (or any clue about weaponsmithing in general). I also got some blaster barrels and scopes I think they were as a separate reward. What are my chances of trading the schematic (3 uses I'm told) for a short run of 6 to include the blaster barrels if possible, with me supplying the absolute best ingredients possible, thus giving the weaponsmith two more "charges" to do standard factory runs with?

And for a truly non-weaponsmith-knowledgeable person who likes FWG5s, what exactly goes into this FWG5 schematic, and what stats on the materials are important? And what special attachments might I look at getting to include? I hear things like scopes and grips and such and not having the slightest clue how weapon crafting is done it's all zabrakian to me... but the idea of getting a set of custom made FWG5s is appealing.

I cannot remember exact stats. but i think mine are 61-166dmg, speed 2.3. I added an ADV scope that is 30-31dmg to it though so HAM costs are a little higher. With spice and new food it should not be a problem though.

Actually, it's the High Velocity Feed Mechanism off of Nym's soldiers on Lok.

No, OBB, I am NOT expecting anything along the lines of a prenerf. Did I say I was?

And I apologize, Siymon, but what do you mean by "drop a feeder mech"? I'm not following what you are suggesting, I'm afraid.

There is a +20 or +25 enhancment that you can put into the feeder mechanism during the crafting process. Will add to max damage.

but you can indeed add a gorax bone shard in FWG5, at least +30 max dmg, -0.3 speed like min krayt tissues, prolly better ones can be found as well
