Anyone tried to use the Weaponsmith Tool Schem to make the Bandolin and add a Weapon Experimentation skill tape to it. Does the stat stack?
The Bandolin is
+5 Assembly
+3 Experimentation
+4 Repair
If add a +5 experimentation tape to it, would it stack to be +8?

When I've tried to stack skill mods on top of skil mods they've never stacked. This happened when I tried to stack Dancing Healing bonus skill tapes on top of clothing that already had Dancing Healing mods. The tapes just seem to disappear. Can't say this confirms it but I really wouldn't want to take a chance with something as precious as a weapon experimentation tape.

Yeah, a weapon experimentation tape is too valuable to even attempt something like this. Chances are it won't stack. If you want to test if the new aprons will stack I'd suggest trying to get your hands on a Tailor apron and a Clothing Experimentation tape and see if that works.

Ya, I lost a +5 mask scent tape to a piece of clothing that already had mask scent, so I wouldnt suggest trying this.

Here I come, a Bio Engineer to the rescue :-)
Since skill plusses is sort of my bread and butter, I thought I would just take a moment to explain what I know, in hope of it might help answer some of your questions.
If a slotted piece of bio enhanced cloth has +5 to wound and injury treatment and you add a skill tape that gives plusses to the same skill, two things can happen:
1. if the skill tape has a lower bonus then the Bio engineered cloth (in my example +4 or lower), the skill tape will be overruled and the piece of cloth will keep it's originale bonus.
2. if the skill tape has a higher bonus then the piece of cloth (in my example +6 or above), then the skill tape will overrule the BE bonus and the cloth will have the same plusses as the skill tape.
To sum up: if a piece of cloths already has a bonus to a skill and you aply a skill tape to it with the same skill, it will NOT stack.

The stats do stack, but what's the point ifa +8 cant even give you one point for experimenting? (needs a +10) ![]()
