I am fairly new to selling weapons publicly and over the past month or so Ifound the weirdest phenomena that I didn't anticipate. Everyone wants unsliced weapons even though I am selling pre-slicedweapons that they want. Let me explain a little further:

Customer wants a dmg capped and sac capped Featherweight FWG5.

Isay that I had a handful on my vendor

Customer says, yes but they are sliced

I say, yes I know. At the point where they are, you can only speed or critical slice the weapon

Customer says, ok well I need an unsliced dmg capped and sac capped Featherweight FWG5

I say, yes I can do that BUT, I have somedmg capped and sac capped Featherweight FWG5's on my vendor right now. Some are speed sliced and some are critical sliced.

Customer, I need an unsliced dmg capped and sac capped Featherweight FWG5, I have a smuggler and I'll slice it myself.

Ok, well I don't have any casings to make one right now. I'll try to get some in the near future.

Customer, sometimes waits, sometimes buys pre-slice, sometimes will just go elsewhere.

Most of the conversations feel as if the customer wants a MASSIVE price break for an unsliced weapons. Almost as if I was selling the gun for 100K and the slice for 4 mil, ya know. Is there any other logic from a CUSTOMER standpoint that drives a conversation like that?

1) What's the deal w/ selling presliced weapons? It's not like trying to sell a weapon with a pup (which I never do) on it, is it? LOL... I don't get it. I try to educate customers that when you dmg cap out (or near it) that you cannot do anything but slice speed or critical. Both of which I have in stock RIGHT NOW.

2) Do you have a certain tactic in educating customers on what you can do with the gun that helps convert hopeful customers into paying customers? My conversion of trying to convince into pre-slice is pretty pathetic.

3) Do you sell pre-slice & unsliced? If so, do you see better success in one vs. the other?I thought it was still the cool thing to do...but maybe not.LOL.

Any insight would be appreciated from both WS or customer perspectives.

I sell all my weapons unsliced. I have noticed the customers like to make their own decision when it comes to how the weapon is sliced.

Might want to think whether the customer wants the option... or whether the customers dont even know what slicing is.

I usually slice my damage and SAC capped weapons with the 12% speed. Anything else (up to a certain point) I offer a free slice from my alt. The only reason I slice those is b/c of all the DPS shoppers out there who don't know what they are looking at in a weapon.
