With the grind groups on dantooine, exp rates at ridiculous levels I can grind any master combat prof in what 2-3 days tops using a cdef.

The devs need to look at how useless they have made 95% of all weapons. I know this has been said before but its getting really boring now.

This of course only applies to those players that power grind their way up the tree.

Took me several months (by choice) to get from CL1 to CL65. Took me some time to find weapons for her before she reached Level 50 and our guilds only weaponsmith only made Level 50+ weapons so had to go searching around my old loot storage for a replacement gun. So thought I would move into the low level end of weapon crafting for new players coming into the guild that play that way too.

You are totally correct.

cdef ftw !

My range of guns has narrowed since cu. there is no point making anything other than the following:

CARBINES : elite and e11 mk2's (and enhanced versions), czerka dart

RIFLES: ALR, T21 (for the retro man), HLR, Trando 1b(although components cost more than the price of the gun atm)

PISTOLS: High Cap scatter, FWG (and featherweight), Dl44XT

MELEE: powerhammer, blaster fist

MISC: the odd plasma flamethrower

Nothing else is worth making as it wont sell, no-one will use it unless for decoration

That list isvirtually the same as the weapons I regularly produce and stock. I don't regularly stock T-21s but do still get a fair amount of request for custom made ones. Occasionally I will put on some enhanced versions of other weps (Renegade, Hacks, Scythes) or some extra melee weps sometimes, but those in the list are the only ones that need regular production. We can probably add E5 Carbs to that list after Pub 24.

I'm sure there is a market, albeit a small one,for low-mid level weapons.

There is a slight market. I tend to crank out some so so weapons for grinding that I pop up dirt cheap on my vendors. And they sell now and then. poket change really but it gets rid of old stock subs and the like rather nicely.

And lately I have no idea why I've had ALOT of people asking me for T-21's. I havent a clue why.

Or people just buy a mid level wep off the bazaar at the major grinding locations for 500-1000 creds, use it for an hour or so until they have moved up CL and, if they can find another appropriate to their new CL, stick it back on bazaar for 500-1000 creds.

Why waste time going to a vendor to buy one, in the time it takes you to do that you could have grinded past that CL anyway.

They think for some odd reason a Master cert weapon should be better than a CL54, go figure..

Yes but however, before the CU weapons were drastically different from each other..

XP was slower to get, and the lower-mid ranged weapons were so pathetically crappier than the master weapons, that people would do anything to get even one more once of damage from a different gun as they crawled up there profession. However with the CU, a green noob in a group woth level 80 character has his/her CL bumped up to 80. so his crappy weapon is hitting harder, and he is getting alot more xp. So why buy a new gun, if in a few hours you will master and get the best weapon for your profession.

"XP was slower to get,"

Based on my own experience you are incorrect.

I sell the basic weapons as listed as well. I sell maybe just a few others, but even those are cookie cutters with the same stats, but different title/class restrictions. I have also had to depend more on my master artisan abilities to bring in the income. I craft and sell high end items (using cells or casings), but even double capped, there is no longer a big rush on them and they do not command the prices that make them worthwhile. I do have a slightly better market on presliced weapons, but it looks like selling anything sliced, slicing tools, or spice is going to be removed from being sold on vendors (see smuggler forum). I am mere support for other alts & associates now.

I also noticed that there are quite a few pre-CU weapons that converted nicley and do not have class/level restricitions what so ever. I am a deadly lvl 1 armed with a converted krayt republican blaster. Any chuba that looks at me wrong goes down hard.

I have had to seriously consider leaving the profession I used to love for the first time (been MWS 2+ years). I have a token respec handy. It is clear that being a 'Loot Aquisition Specialist' is much more lucrative and challeging.
