Im new to weaponsmith, and it's a very labor intensive career field that i will never take for granted again. Alot of people never think what goes into making weapons, they just use em. But anyways, I made this T21 rifle the other day after nearly 6 hrs or resource shopping. Assembled it, waited for the crafting station, and TAH-DAH, a T21 with the "Rifle-barrel" component at the tip of the gun, bent down at a 90 degree angle. It looked like Robo Cop had got ahold of it or something. How can I keep this from happening.I feel that I will never be able to use the prefix "Uber" if my guns look gimped out, jk.

Double-click the barrel/scope/stock crates in the crafting tool instead of uncrating them and double-clicking an individual part. The parts won't show up if they were used directly from a crate.

This isn't true. I was making 6 laser rifles the other night with scopes and advanced stocks. All the scopes and stocks were in crates. One rifle appeared with both stock and scope visible. Two others appeared with visible scopes but stocks were not shown.

I have tried this with most firearm types and nothing I do (crated or uncrated stocks/scopes) can make them appear consistently. I know that some report that uncrating works every time for them, but it doesn't for me. Also, as noted above, I can get them to appear using them from a crate. I'm at a loss as to what actually works and am attributing the whole thing to voodoo and karma. I will now sacrifice a nuna prior to each attempt to make a weapon with visible stocks/scopes in the hopes of appeasing the gods.

Pulling the components out of the crates works for me 100% of the time.
