The main difference between a 10 pt. smith and a 12 pt. smith right now is probably 2 pts lower on HAM costs. This is of course if you are using the same materials.

lowering the ham 2 points is uselss since everyone hunts buffed anyway. i have 12 poitns and all the extra points go into condition. it nice to have every weapon i make be over 1k condition. some wepaons i have are 1100 condition.

Just be prepared to wait a while for the good stuff to spawn, more importantly be collecting it NOW!

Ah biggens but that is a double-edged sword it is.
Your weapons sell faster due to the "WOW" factor of a 1.1k condition vk....but, then you have to wait for all that condition to go away to get repeat business
I usually do condition on fast deterioraters like VK's (cause let's face it....they buy 15 at a time anyway) and on the other stuff it goes in HAM or more likely range mods.
I'm so evil sometimes.

a 5 point non-master Weaponsmith will "wipe the floor clean" on sales against a master weaponsmith, if that master weaponsmith doesn't have enough resources, or has low quality resources.
However, most masters have enough resources anyways
an 11 or 12 point weaponsmith will perhaps see a +5 or 10 bonus to ideal range on ranged weapons(going up the whole line from components to finished product), or maybe 5-6 less HAM
of course, the first thing your client looks at is damage, and then price.
I've been a master for what... 4, 5 months now?
I spent about 2 months grinding up to master, and I had enough resources to make nearly every advanced component, and perhaps 80% of the weapons before I even hit master

yeah it really hasnt hurt at all
thankfully ive been gettin busier and busier everyday. it took alot of work to get to where i am but it sure was worth it. so be patient when your just starting out. it takes time and patience and then some more time, unless you get some lucky resource spawns.
