Hi im new to harvesting. i have my self a personal mineral extractor. i just started harvesting my first mineral. it is class 4 radioactive.. i know its not class 7. but its a start. i need to make some cash and was woundering what a good price per unit is. i have no idea what what minerals go for and thanks for any help. oh. and energy generators. i know wind power takes a wind survey device. but what about fusion generators and the other power gen. what survey devices do they use. tahnks again for your help.

I didnt know you could harvest radioactive with personal harvestors. That must be very inefficient.

Radioactive is an energy so it usually sells for anything between 0.5 - 2 c/u, depends on the PE. If you have a high 900+ PE you can charge more for energy.

Other minerals range in price depending on thier rarity. The standard price for current-shift resources is between 2-4 c/u on most servers.

For energy surveying:

Wind = Wind survey device
Solar = Solar survey device
Fusion = Mineral survey device. (look for radioactives)

Each energy source will need the right generator type to harvest, again wind for wind, solar for solar and fusion for radioactive.

so the radioactive stuff i am harvesting with my mineral harvester i can put right back in to my harverster as energy

Yep, if its harvesting it ok you can. I've never thought to try pulling it with a regular harvester. The specific energy harvesters only require credits to run so are cheaper per unit.

The problem with what you're harvesting is that the prices people will pay for radioactives vary greatly. If the radioactive you are harvesting had good Potential Energy (850+) then if may be used in crafting, if this is the case you can get 3 credits or more per unit. On the other hand if the stats of the radioactive you are harvesting are low then it will likely be used as power for harvesters, if this is the case you will have trouble getting over 2 credits per unit.

If you are harvesting a low quality radioactive then harvesting it with a personal harvester is very inefficient. You would be much better of harvesting steel, iron, or copper.

As far as pricing the resource market is really flooded right now IMO, selling at 3 CPU even takes some time unless it's a type of specialty resource used in crafting. i.e. to make an advanced vibromotor you need Desh copper

The fusion generators use the mineral survey device and harvest radioactives. However; unlike you personal harvester they do not require energy to run, just the maintenance.

Nothing wrong with harvesting radioactive it is a good move. The fact of the matter is that you are only paying maint on it, and you can stockpile some power for yourself and make money. On an even better note the resource will sell. Everyone needs power and radioactive can be used in crafting.

On a side not its just as effective as harvesting steel or copper. You can get the same unit amount. Alot of people will tell you to use fusion power generators, but that can put you in a deep hole. Those are not cheap where as a personal mineral can go for as little as a thousand credits. Quick turnaround and more ease in placement.

I harvest radioactive from time to time. No matter the quality radioactive is worth the effort. A fair price is 1.5 to 2.5 credits per unit. Depending on where you live. If you live in coronet that is a buyers market you will get less for your goods. If you sell on say lok you may make more, because limited competition. Follow the range up above. Once you start going off that. It becomes more cost effective for the customer to just go to the buyers market. Rather then payin for the convenience.
