Thread: Creating the ultimate test input needed

Oke let me explain this a bit. Today at school i was bored and started thinking about doing a huge test on what to experiment on to get the best damage and speed and sac possible. So many people are testing with only a few possibilty's. No offense here but i would like to do a test with some bigger numbers and have a couple of templates test it. I'll just start pumping out the numbers for you people to see and i'm really hoping for some input from other smiths.

I was thinking about doing a DL44 XT these are very hot right now and they are easy to craft.

For the subs i was thinking about the following experimentation. These subs include the abph and the abpb. I will not do the scope since it will just add a lot more subs to the crafting and it's for accuracy. I could but that would be like full runs of subs needed to craft every possibilty. And that is just a little bit to expensive for me since i'm not sitting on 50mil but on 3mil and it would take ages to craft it all.

Full Damage - Speed

Full Speed - Damage

Full SAC - Damage

Full SAC - Speed

and

0 SAC - Damage

0 SAC - Speed

or

Full damage - SAC

Full Speed- SAC

The last ones i would have to test if there is a huge difference. Now i'm a 11point smith and in no time soon will i be a 12point. So for a 12point all the stats should go a bit higher if the resources are almost the same. Offcourse help from other eclipse smiths would be apprieciated So it will either be the 0 sac version or the full dmg/spd version to craft with i will test it and decide and would offcourse like your opinion on it.

If i would go for all 8 possible experimentation i would end up needing 256 abph and abpb. And offcourse some extra because my intention is to only craft with great succes and nothing else.

For the final combine i was thinking about the following experimentation.

Full Speed - Damage

Full Damage - Speed

Full Speed - SAC

Full Damage - SAC

I don't think it would be a good idea to start with experimentation on SAC. That might be good for a krayted DL44 XT since you allready got a damage boost on that.

With the following i would need 144 abph and abpb. I think that would be a good test you would get a lot of different weapons. I'm going to have my alt test those and i'm hoping to find some other people either in my guild or not to help me test with different skills then my alt.

And offcourse all the results and details about the weapons subs would be posted on the boards for everybody to see and i really hope we can then decide what would be the best way to craft for our customers because it's beginning to get confusing for customers at least that's what i noted.

So please let me know. And please leave the flaming out i want some constructive feedback.

I've done something similar with the DL44 XT but on a smaller scale. I'll try and get my notes posted later.

Anyway, you don't need to do as much experimentation as you might think. Here's why:

1) You don't need to experiment on the final weapon since the assembly stats are sufficient for determining the effect of the component.

2) Create a base model of the DL44 XT made with components that were not experimented on.

3) You only need to experiment on a small set of components to determine the final stats. You can then use deltas to determine how they will change the base model.

4) Once you have the component stats, you can create all possible combinations of the modified weapon without having to make 256 versions.

When dealing with stats, I've notced that:
- damage on the components seems to strictly add to the base model
- SAC looks like it is averaged before being subtracted from the base model
- speed/10 is subtracted from the base model

This is from memory, so I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I've been thinking of making an Excel spreadsheet model of the DL44 XT to play around with stats more (including experimentation on the final pistol), but I just haven't had time.

oke thanks for the info the base weapon is a good idea but i would also like to have some of the weapons tested. I could offcourse make the theoretical best ones. should really limit the amount of resources i would need.
