Can anyone give me any specifics about where or what mobs are likely to drop Weaponsmith Clothing Attachments?

Any of the humanoid npc type mobs seem able to.
The more diffficult the mob the higher the CA value potential is a general rule(nightsistersand such for large #s on tapes).
I have found thatwhen you get an attachment, since the modifers are random, anything that dropsattachments fairly steadily gives you a decent shot at looting one. Some of the best drop rates for attachments, in my experiences, have been from factional npcs. So you may wanna try some of the factional poi's or bases on your server.

I haven't really spent much time there lately, since the CU reduced the combat level of this POI to something like 26 max... but the Erran Sif Lair on Talus, near Dearic used to drop +6, +7 tapes with stunning regularity. However the only Experimentation CA that I ever looted was a Clothing Exp +7... lol. That is a useless mod, with the exception of 1 component of wookiee armor.
Try that lair, the respawn rate is pretty good... if you haven't looted a nice CA or AA after 4 or 5 respawns, it's probably been nerfed and it's most likely time to move on.

Imp faction bases. I killed about 300 or so officers and got roughly 10-15 CA's / AA's. Only experimentation I got was a +5 chassis exp though...
You have to understand that AA's and CA's are part of a larger loot table. And the skills on the attachments are also part of a table, so it's two random rolls happening.
