Thread: Worth the gorax shards trying to outdo a pre-cu weapon?

Hey guys, I have quite a dillemma. Never been a big crafter myself but browsing the new caps for pistols I'm wondering if I should try upgrading the one I have currently ADKed.
Type:FWG5 pistol
Speed : 2.11
Damage: 400-903
Acc. Bonus: 0
Wound: 8.31%
SAC:84
Base dps: 308
Now, I have quite a few gorax bone sets to tinker with, the best being 157dmg -.52spd and 138dmg -.62spd.
Would it be possible to make a Featherweight FWG5 that retains about the same SAC cost and beats out this pistol with either of these sets?
I appreciate any input.

With a 157 shard I could make a 944/948 depending on luck and around 82 sac again depending on luck so yeah it should be possible

Like summerflame said, it is possible. Getting more damage and same or even less speed will not be a problem, the diference in SAC values won't be that great still, and some luck will be needed to combine lets say 948 damage and 82 sac.

Alrighty, thanks guys. I guess I might as well get one made and see how it turns out

shame your not on my server, I could make you a pretty pretty pistols with those shards.
I was hitting 65 SAC and 266 DPS, so if you only wanted 85 SAC then hitting the 300+ mark for DPS would be easy.
