just wanted to pass this on you well find this sick as i did the most uber weapons on live are not uber weapons after the Conv infact 99% of the weapons remade that i didnt use krayt on or bones are comming way way better then the old krayt ones with a perfect slice here are my findings
Pawncherous
Valcyn
items are in my inv these three T-21's
Weapon Conv is not fair this comes down to just about all weapons ive remade and compaired the stats to the uber ones now on live.
In 99% of the time new weapons made on the test center CU are much better then what you call uber now.
http://home.mchsi.com/~frost753/OLDT21slicedkrayt.jpg
Old T-21 Krayt
6.8 speed
222 Min with pup 258
633 Max with pup 842
http://home.mchsi.com/~frost753/convoldt21slicedkrayt.jpg
New Conv Krayt T-21that was still showing with a slicewith those stats are now
3.41 speed
my modded speed takes it too
2.19 speed
504 Min
1105 Max
Est DPS 247.77
Mod DPS 384.63
Now here is the kick in the teeth
http://home.mchsi.com/~frost753/newt21unslicedunkryated.jpg
New Un Krayt T-21 Unsliced with no power up
2.52 Speed
My modded speed takes it too
1.63
Min 505
Max 1020
Est DPS 302.85
Modded DPS is 468.91
The unkrayt one without a slice is already better then the old "Best pre CU"
Speed are lower and the DPS is a hugh diffrence and did i say it still unsliced unkrayt unpuped lol....
everyone well trash their old weapons and well have to buy new ones under this system.
Your old weapons that were once uber well be a waste of space to what were making now which unenhanced is better.

"Everyone having to dump their weapons = lots of business for weaponsmiths"
Yeah but its also REALLY unfair for everyone else. Ive been noticing this a lot and frankly, its frustrating....rather than just converting everything, we should be given the option to dissamble our weapons and armour - get back the SEAs and enhancements we put into them, and maybe the resources as well.
I wonder if this could be done, but who knows? You can dissamble mandalorian armour and get the schematic, I believe RIS too and get the components back. Besides...this would be a great marketing venture for any prospective weaponsmiths...get into the converting biz
It seems most of these conversion problems stem from enhanced weapons, so the very least the Devs could do would be to let us just remake the blasted weapon.

That means the devs lied to us. I seem to remember TH or one of his spin doctors clearly stating that what was good pre CU would remain good post CU. This is obviously not the case.
Does this also mean that "normal" non enhanced weapons will convert and suck aswell ? If old weapons convert and turn oiut worse than new versions you make of the same weapon that is a serious shaft to any WS who has got a shop set up that is well stocked.
I currently have over 500 weapons in stock with another 1500 crated in my warehouse. I seem to rememebr the devs stating that we could continue crafting as normal as the weapons would convert over OK to the new CU system, This is obviously a lie and it emans I now have 2000 pieces of crap that i need to flush down the pan. It means that we all literally have to start from scratch making weapons for sale and to stock our vendors with.
That sucks so hard I could call it the prom queen

Are you a WS? Realised that this now means taht a 10pt n00b is as good as the 2year old 12pt vet?

My combat alt is a speed-capped master rifleman that carries a very nice T21 made with +154 tissues and is damage sliced, I had to kill hundreds of Krayts to get those tissues. The conversion process turned it into a piece of junk, a freshly crafted CU T21 is superior to it.
I'm very unhappy about the current state of the conversion process, they might as well just delete all the old weapons if they stick with the current system.

Sorry by 10pt n00b, I meant an absolute noob, new to swg, very little creds, very little resources. ie, someone using whatever spawns or he can buy. Was supposed to be taken as an adjective

NO..this is not good news. Your 10 pts will mean you cant fully achieve a reasonable DPS because you will max point use out to soon. The only boon may be if you get good slices.

I see the WS's have now encountered the same fate as us AS's......
/shakeshead
..not right for another crafting profession to fall too. Where's the diversification if everyone has a "different skin" with the same stats. Dont see myself playing much longer.

OMFGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I honestly cannot believe this is true. If so, that means I just lost about 50 million credits -- and I'm not even a weapon smith!
This is insane!

Looks like their was a Problem with the Conv that deals with Speed Of the weapon that had a bug, in its code.
One of the Devs did state tonight that they well get in a fix for it so their is still hope.
