Does profession matter? Does my weaponsmith have to loot these enhancements or can I do it just the same with my Bounty Hunter? Not sure if chosen profession had anything to do with it.

Oh yeah, only been a master smith for one week and i was also wondering about scopes and stocks. Are they worth it? I made a laser carbine with a normal stock and adv scope and the result was 4.2 speed , 300 damage and witha slice i got 330 on the damage . Tested it with my bounty hunter character and the damage increase was very noticable but so was the higher ham cost. Just wondering if some more experienced smiths have toyed with this. But the resulting gun was pretty sweet looking as the scope and stock are now visible, the ee3 and laser look very sweet .

I find that the stocks are only worth it on a lower level weapon like the DH17 carbine or the DLT20 rifle

These weapons are used by Newbies because it is all they are certified for; the unenhanced versions already have faster speed and lower HAM costs than the higher level weapons so it the decreased speed and increased HAM are less of an issue on these weapons while the damage boost is much appreciated I'm sure.

When you are making the stock you can calculate the DPS modification of the stock; if it is higher that what the plain weapon would be then it's probably a good idea.

Every enhancement can be looted by every profession. Just imagine how many weaponsmiths it would take to take down a krayt dragon
