I have never heard of this tool before. Can you place a link in the thread so I can check it out. Might be real useful to me and a couple of other MWS. Yeah but I have noticed the same thing. The guy you spend 30 minutes talking to about what will be the best weapon for them never "gets around" to go to your vendor. While you have a guy that you never talk to, other then to send him an email of a new stock of weapons on your vendor, that is always comes to your vendor.

I just downloaded and started playing with The Merchants Friend, the program that parses info from your /mailsave results to give you sales statistics. What I noticed almost immediately is that the customers who give me the most grief with constant barrages of price-checks, loot quality, etc, also either never buy or are among the smallest purchasers from my vendors. On the inverse, the people who are the largest purchasers I have either only had brief conversation with or never talked to at all.

Wish I could get this to work - but no joy. I'm really struggling to get a mail processor to work for me! Illiya (the programmer of Merchant's Friend) has been a honey, sending me a couple of emails to help me, but all in vain - I fear there are deeper problems with my computer that will only be solved by incineration.

For people who are having trouble with this, there are a couple of other tools I've come across as well...

  • The SWG Merchant Email Processor. Like the Merchant's Friend it requires the .NET framework (use Windows Update if you don't have this yet). Must say, I've followed this instructions on this, though, and can't get the data to open in MS Access. Frustrating - I was so close! I think you may need to have the Office 2002 or XP version of Access to work this one, my 2000 version wouldn't import the XML file.

  • SWGMail is an online tool that will do some basic processing of your mails - you create an account, zip all your .mail files and upload them to the server - no need for .NET here (as it seems many people aren't happy with installing .NET on their machines for some reason). Easy enough to get this working, but obviously being a web app it's slightly limited and you can't play with the data yourself (as it's not on your machine!).

If anyone knows of more tools, let us know!
