Heavy Warhead Mechanisms. They require some specific materials, but give very good XP. If you can't afford or apprehend needed resources..try the Medium Warhead Mechanisms. They require more resources, but none that are specific.

Projectile Barrels are better since they only require Steel, but if you want more XP per item, try Metal Staff. They require moreunits, but youonly need Steel. Once you get enough XP to take anIntermediate skill, take Intermediate Ranged. That way you can grind the Projectile RifleBarrels. They give 94 XP for only 36 units ofSteel (in Practice mode, of course).

Ignore the complexities for XP. That is definitely oneof the broken items that has never gotten fixed.

If you have a number of disposable/grinding resources and a factory make Heavy particle cannons once you have reached firearms 4. If they're on the munitions list then by all means get to 4 and start crafting. They generate 335 xp a shot. The heavy warheads are not a bd idea but the HPC resources are far more generic.

Given the choice between style over substance. I'll take a sandwich.

the only problem here would be the skeevon gas for the chem warheads.... quite a pricy resource, not to mention rare.

Make projectile rifle barrels. They only require steel. They may not be as much xp as other things but for simplicity sake they are the best. I've ground to master twice and did those both times.

I tried the barrels once and hated it, do yourself a favor and do the heavy warheads, it only took me about 6hrs of grinding with these.

Do the warheads... Im doing the grind right now, and it is so much easier to do about 1100 items than 9000.

Well, it really depends how much you want to 'grind'. Myself, the prospect of making 100,000 rifle barrels almost sent me back into the horror that I experienced weaponcrafting in DAoC (though crafting 100,000 rifle barrels is still ALOT more easier than that hehe).

I just waited on the resources to spawn, the skevon and thoranium I got quite easily, it was the Hydron-3 I had trouble finding. My advice is, if you have access to harvesters use them to get the resources and do something else while you are waiting, then do the heavy warheads, believe me you will be shocked by how fast you level.

this is just the info i was looking for. I was told to do barrels but only got 53 xp then switched to metal staff as reccomended and i get about 90 something..lol i can use 3 tools at once before the first one is finished. Got a macro while i grind my survey skill and found out i can do that and grind on the staffs at same time

Any hints on surveying xp???

For surveying xp, just find an 85% + resource spot and sit on it (make a macro to survey). That is about all you can do for that bit
