I've heard when you get the warning "Weapon has less than 50%". Some weaponsmiths say it's not worth repairing a weapon, because it loses some conditioning. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

never ever is there a reason to repair sooner than 300 condition.. Period.. if you watch closely you can usually go down to 200-250 you just dont want the stats to start going down (the actual damage will start to degrade).

I don't have any data, but I have read that the lower your condition, the more likely to have a poor repair or lose the item entirely.

I have no idea on how many weapons I've repaired(countless). But I'll offer you the same advice I do my customers. Once the weapon reaches 25% the damage of the weapon will start to decrease and when you repair it you have a good chance of making the new damage permanent. I tell them to never let their weapon get below 30%, if you like it repaired sooner its up to you. I haven't seen any difference between a weapon being repaired at 80%-25% to make me think it matter when. Just so long as you do it before you hit 25%. Might as well get as much life out of the weapon as possible before you have to replace it.
Lots of people neglect checking the condition of thier weapons so I also remind them if they have to get buffed to go hunt that would be a good time to check out your equipment like weapon and armor condition and if you had enough food with you etc.
Thats the advice I give out. I also repair weapons for free. If they feel I deserve a tip for my work on the repair then I happily accept, if it broke or not so much of a good repair I'm not surprised if no tip comes. Eitherway I consider repairing part of my services to those that purchase from me.
