Hi there! I'm afraid I'm going to add to the deluge of new Weaponsmiths starting to appear. WS actually has always intrigued me as a crafter but the resources had always intimidated me. Anyway after a very, VERY long time of living and dying by the Fooman tool I have a rather large array of pretty darn good resources (that and most likely I have no life :smileywink as well asa partnership with another WS that provides me with a 12 point suit.

So I sat down today and started my first pistol runs *giddy!* (My responsibility in the partnership is all ranged, the partner handles Melee). Just basic Marksman stuff really at this point as I am trying to make sure I cover everything my clients will need. After finally starting my small factory runs of pistols I am noticed that my dmg results on my pistols are on par but my HAM costs in comparison with other smiths are off the chart.

DMG 79 - 154

WD 32.4%

PB: +17

ID: +24

Max: -90

HAM: 26/37/26

Sample Scout:

DMG: 79 - 155

I will admit on certain named resources I have crap (EX: Rhodium steel) but over all I ahve very good stuff. I've tried focusing on efficiency on the Scope and anywhere I can as far as subcomponents go, but still not good results as far as HAM goes.

If it's my resources (I can post types as stats if needed) I'm cool with that I jsut wnat to make sure I am distrubuting my exp points to thier fullest potential. Resources come and go, but knowledge really is forever

Any advice?

are you using the advanced or standard scope? I tend to see an increase in the ham if I use an advanced scope. Realistically though, most players are buffed when using the weapons so ham, unless it is astronomical, isnt really paid much attention too.

I tried a test with the no adv scope and the results were much better!

13/22/13 HAM

The DMG was 74-144 but that was splitting exp points evenly. Good point on the no one caring about HAM costs though! I will keep making the pistols with the non-adv ones to keep that down though

I only scope custom weapons or loot enhanced weapons. With customers I ask them what they want either range or low ham with some range. On my own or if told to just do what I think is best I will make a 2 HAM and +21 ideal range scope(thats the stats I get).

All my stock stuff I dont scope.
