The speed and damage on them are pretty low yet you can't make them till master..do they have a special effect on them that make them worth makeing and selling?

I refer you to my thread:

WhereI discuss the failure of the Devsin making munitions a playable aspect of the game for the masses and for commandos. Grenades = loss of income.. unless ya make protons for Rocket Launchers of course, but that's a whole different story.

Your post is intresting and has good points but I am makeing millions off grenades of all types except Imperial Detinators. I sell crates and hundreds of singles every day of every type.

The Imperial detinators do lower damage and have crappy speed than thermial detinators or proton grenades but I have sold a few. I was just wondering if there was some special effect on them that would make them marketable like stun on KD or somthing since you can't make them till master..or if it is one of those things that need fixing for balance be cause compared to grenades made at lesser skill levels they suck.

Grenades shouldn't have HAM costs, its not like your throwing, curveballs, sliders, knuckleballs, fastballs, etc... Do you get the point? There is only ONE way to throw a grenade, so why should that one way cost HAM. I don't expend HAM when/attack things w/o specials with my CDEF.

Have you ever used a grenade? It is an action to throw them so yes they should have a HAM cost but I was not asking about HAM cost on grenades.

I am asking if anybody has ever used Imperial Detenators and if they have is there some srot of special effect on them(Like KD, Stun, or Dizzy)that they like that would justify me makeing crates of them because there damage and speed are so crappy compared to grenades made at lower skill levels?

I think you would have much better luck asking this on the Commando forum.

Actually, if you wish to be picky about it, there is more than one way to throw a grenade - if you include the arming of it. Even back in World War 2 - the "pineapple" grenade the American GI's used differs from the "potato masher" grenades used by the Germans and again differs from theM-series grenades the Russians used. I'd still say they get thrown differently as well but not so much a difference there as arming it.

As you're not likely to be running around with grenades primed, you'd have to factor in the arming in the "cost" of throwing a grenade. *shrug*

If i remember right, they do cold damage. That's the only selling point i could think of for em. I may be wrong though. Not much of a market on em so I haven't made any in a very long time.

So now this guys' spouting wrong information in MULTIPLE threads.

My WS business revolved around grenades. To say they equate to a loss of incomecouldn't be any more incorrect. I could make good money just running C12's all day and selling them at 10k a crate.

The real reason this guy's all P-O'd is because he was a sucker and paid 3k for each Kliknik gland and someone was snickering behind his back. HE lost income. His seller made a ton I'm guessing. LOL @ this dude... So when dealing with payingcustomer, the only loss of income will be from him. Most others make out pretty well in the deal.

No, I believe they do blast dmg, but I may be incorrect too. When it comes down to a choice between Thermals or Imperials, go with the Thermals everytime. The dmg on Imperials isn't bad. It's the speed that will keep them from selling.

ya... cryobans are cold (were great for pre-nerf krayt hunting)...the initial assemblyham cost on the imperials are insane as well as the spd (150/150 on the health and action side and 50.0 spd) as well as buggy experimentation on them... one time you can get the spd down to 10.0 the next its 20.0
