no, they are such a pain .. like grenades .. why burn up all your good resources on such a limited use item. I usually just make schematics for guilds and let them factory their own and harvest their own resources. The profit on weapon sale of longer use items and heavy weapons is more appealing and keeps you from working a '2nd job' instead of having fun playing a game. just my opinion.. im sure some people enjoy 10hrs a day of surveying, harvesting, factorying, loading vendors etc. Tho i am not sure those same people put in 8hrs at an office to boot

If you charge by resource for mines you'll lose out on the deal. charge what you feel your time was worth. Also, like the previous post, they're better marketed directly to guilds instead of sitting around on a vendor. Make sure you have a solid order before investing so much time in them.

I sold XG mines for 12k a piece. Using the Ekean Durraloy steel, they were some of the best you'd ever find too. I think the speed was down to .4 (which shouldn't matter) and the dmg was about 667 or so.

My anti-vehicular mines were 48k a crate.

I never made the DRX mines since the stats were too comparable to the XG, but the resource cost/factory time was astronomical in comparison.

I do runs of 1k of XG mines and C12 grenades. The key is to know what your product does inorder to sell it better. I sell by the crate(25 each) for 15k. I have np selling either of these. Heck the city I live in has 7 bases up right now and plenty of minefields all over the place.

And as for mines being a waste of time, when I'm helping defend the city and I see a Rebel running and trips a mine only to go falling on his face just warms my heart that I made them.

Thanks everyone - you've been very helpful. I was wanting to see if my current pricing scheme was too low or too high. I have been selling a crate of mines for various prices trying to discover what the market will hold. So you are saying a crate of mines should sell for roughly 15-20K. A crate has 25 units - each unit having 5 mines in it. So 125 mines for 15-20K.....that 160 credits per mine.....seems lowto me actually Considering all the work and resources required. Isn't 500 per mine more reasonable? 62K per crate....? Thoughts?

Why are you asking us? Ask your customers. They're the only ones who could answer that question. But if you want my opinion, that's way too high.

It does seem high....but making mines takes many resources and multiple factory runs....generally a huge pain.

And...I have asked my customers...they've bought me out when I priced 5 mines at 1K, 5 mines at 5K and 5 mines at 10K. I am asking other smiths because I'm not interested in gouging my customers and am trying to determine if making mines is a feasible side vocation......
