Thread: New smith looking for answers
I am new to the weapon smith profession and had a couple quick questions.
1) Private crafting stations. Who makes them and when should I get one? Am I correct that you have to have a house to put them in?
2) When I made a blaster -D18 (I am a novice) under the power-handler part there was a slot for a blaster power-handler enhancement. What goes there and what skill is required to make it?
Thank you for answering my noob questions. I appreciate the help.
1) architects make the best crafting stations and yes you need a house to put it in - or find a close friend who will make you admin on his house for you to craft in..... In time you will find you need your own place - best to bite the bullet on that now. Make sure you get as good or a crafting station as you can afford - I bought my +44 station for 50K some time ago when these were a bit more rare than they are today...
2) special enhancement slots are reserved for loot-drop items - i.e. things you find on critter and NPC kills. Krayt tissue is most popular weaponsmith enhancement item and is found on....you guessed it! Krayt Dragons. Other things you can find are vibro motors enhancements and even standard things like projectile feed mechs and power handlers.
Thank you for the information! Is there a site with a list of the various things to enhance with? Is swgcraft the best place to look for it?
I have seen alot on the boards about people just grinding to master and not know what the profession involves, I do not want to go that route. Sounds like I should start looking for a nice spot for my house then. Thanks!
Anyone have a rough guess on maintenance fees for houses?

Check the stickies in this very forum. If you're still not able to find it:

But for the love of all that is holy DO NOT USE KRAYT TISSUES or any other enhancments untill you get to master. Even using the enhancments you would not be able to make a weapon as good as a master smith could make without the enhancement. You would just be wasting it.
