My Laser rifles always had max damage 401 (or 399 with normal rifle barrel) and 5.7sec speed.
I've now managed to get a nice result.. min: 42 max: 420 speed: 5.3sec

Almost as if I had krayt tissue in it, speed decreased with -0.4 ! and damage increased with +20

Ofcourse I made a schematic of it right away and now made over 100 Laser rifles with these stats

Selling these babies for 50K each not to test the market, only thing i possibly coudl regret was not putting the word "krayt" in the name (bet it would sell more then) but i figured that woudl be fraud

Anyone else had this big changes on weapons for no reason?

Ohh.. and I might add that I did not have any other result while experimentating other then "great success" no moderate, no amazing.. only "great"

I got one of those, one amazing success and the rest greats, ended up 15 damage and 0.2 speed better than regular.

I believe this result is actually the result of a bug, and would probably be considered an exploit by SOE.

Advertise/sell those at your own risk!

I would hate to see you get in trouble for honestly stumbling into a bug, and that last thing Eclipse needs is to lose another good weaponsmith!

I've covered my back on this one.. After I made the schematic I went to chat with CSR and asked if these weird successes on experimentation would be considered a bugs and if it woudl be considered exploiting adding components with unusual (unrepeatable) results into weapons and sell.

The answer was "Lyzi, I belive that is working properly" I got a screenshot of the CSR answer too.
So *this* CSR say that he belive that those unusual results is a part of the game since they are not repeatable.

Note to self: Lower production of lasers until Lyzi runs out of that schematic!

I have seen this happen a couple times. very rare. I cant see why this would be considered an exploit since it is simply beyond our control to repeat. Good job on getting 100 weapons out of this. Seems to happen to me when i am using leftover parts and cant really make a schematic out the result. Last time was a nice launcher which was close to pre-nerf stats.

I got the same making a run of Laser Carbines last night, and was over the moon. Luckily I was planning for a run of 200 or so too, so was doubly chuffed!

A nice thing to happen after a weekend of many crit fails and bad Krayt combines

I had made several different type of weapons before this one, and been loged into the game for hours, been playing all day.

This is not a bug. Its considered good crafting. Ive been to hell and back with a very rude smith on my server who accused me of exploiting. Ive talked to a few CSR reps and this is considered "good crafting". I personally believe this is in the game as intended to provide us with unique weapons, every once in awhile. Its super rare, and ususally wont happen after 1000s of weapons, but it is something that occurs in every crafting class.
