Just making (or trying to make) some Featherweight FWGs with spider fangs earlier and had 4 CF's straight in a row. Needless to say I am p*ssed at the waste of good fangs for which I paid good creds but what can I do?
Haven't had this happen since I failed 3 krayt RBs in a row a few months back.
In fact back then I suggested that "uber loot" somehow stood a greater chance of CFing or getting a bad slice and that this was written into the code. I eventually got to make a factory run of 3 after starting out with 10 fangs and even these had one moderatre in them but by that stage I didn't really care.

2....
....on scythes with exceptional geo sword cores
that was my first multiple crit ever...
.. I was pissed =D
Then again.. I hardly ever crit fail for some reason... but EVERY time I make a Krayt weapon, or something *special* i CF.. without fail. I'd trade more CFs for less CFs on very important stuff! =D

Fangs? Try11 +114 Krayt Tissues, 11 +36 Tissues and 11+30 Tissues. At least two moderate successes on every build. Advanced Blaster Power Handlers that came out 1-145 damage instead of 20-154. Four Krayt weapons that had at least two moderates successes in each build and 2 flat out "failures" in experimentation. Fortunately they weren't critical failures. All this in a Research Center while chugging Port and stuffing my face with Cake. I am beyond pissed. Fortunately, my client was still happy with the final product but I was not.
I'm not a Master Weaponsmith! My title needs to be changed to a Moderately Successful Weaponsmith!

7 in a row, just last night, (grinding metal staves) then, skipped 1 then 3 more, skipped 1, then 2 more, skipped 1, then 1 more, lol. I was like **edit**! I've noticed that I rarely get an amazong sucess in assembly, and its been well over 1000 experiments ago since I've had an amazing sucess for experimentation, weird...
