Hi,

I'm fairly new in this business and working with 10 pts. I was just sitting here looking at the scythe because a guild member asked me if I could make one. I told him that I didn't have sword cores and would either need materials to make them or just the sword cores themselves. Then I took an actual look at the resources needed for the blade and the ratings of the resources I have on hand. It came out at an average of SR 938. I seem to remember reading that some people on TC have reached higher than normal ratings through a combination of high rating resources and awesome successes. Question is, would I be better off waiting on this weapon and build it under the new system?

Any weaponsmith on TC who can say at which point you start to see a benefit/drawback to working under the new system? Being new and all, I can't stock up on everything, so knowing what to focus on would be a help. Seems to me that the advanced sub-components and weapons like the Republic Blaster have top priority at the moment. Anything else of importance? (swgcraft is down, so I can't check schematics/resources at the moment).
