Every single post that I have seen dealing with the new crafting changes is negative to put it the best. They have even changed their reasoning for this.

TH Said, "The pain here is that this constitutes a paradygm shift in experimenting and yeah, that is going to be painful, but its a key issue players have asked for and it's good for the game." from http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=weaponsmith&message.id=35955&view=by_date_ascending&page=3 In a lot of the replies people have said we never wanted this to happen. Then they give us their reasoning they change their reason for doing it.

Chrysalide said, "The driving force behind a change to a fundamental system of this magnitude is the current state of the game economy. To put not too fine a point on it, the game economy is in poor shape. There are a few factors that contribute to the detrimental condition of the economy, and we are reviewing and assessing them all. Of these factors, one of the most significant is the ability for many crafters to easily maximize the attributes of items and equipment through experimentation." From http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=in_testing&message.id=7255&view=by_date_ascending&page=1.

Not one place does it say in that post that we, the crafting player base, have asked for this. The economy is not flawed either! I do missions I buy stuff with the credits. It takes me some time but not weeks and weeks and I do not need a large group of people to be able to do this.

This type of nerf happens a lot in MMORPGs. Items are too good so they change them or they way they are aquired to bring them in line with what they wanted.

This change, nerf, is their way of saying your armor, guns, food, and buffs are too good. You are able to take on content alone that we had intended that you need a large group to be able to handle. Now that you have gotten used to this system we are going to take it away and force you adapt to a new style of play. Sorry, crafters your saving quality resources to pair with other quality resources and good thinking on how to make the best stuff is now put to crap since some resources suck for making the items.

That is another thing that bugs me WHY THE FRICKEN [explitive delted] ARE WE USING RESOURCES THAT NEED TO BE CONDUCTIVE THAT ARE NOT VERY CONDUCTIVE! If a computer is built they do not use IRON to make the data pathways they use GOLD which is very conductive! Make the schematics make sense and maybe that will solve some problems!

Devs you just made a bug and lag filled game less bareable to deal with now that now my stuff is going to crappier and cost more.
Oh and TH are you not Absors clone you are about as good dealing with players as he was.

Pure truth...

The players are tired of these nonsenses...

We'll soon get sick of paying for something we don't want.

This reminds me of the Astromech Stats on the soloing of different creatures....

"The economy is not flawed either! I do missions I buy stuff with the credits. It takes me some time but not weeks and weeks and I do not need a large group of people to be able to do this. "
This have nothing to do with the economy of the game. The economy of the game is defined by how much credits the flow in to it compared with how much that flows out of it.
If a rifleman wand a new rifle, then go take mission to earn the say 25k or whatever, Then that is 25k more credit in the game, the WS he properly not spend more then 5k MAX (harv maint, house maint, factory time, and wasted resources) making the gun and thus the game have 20k more floating around... That is inflation at work, hence the bad economy in the game.

"This type of nerf happens a lot in MMORPGs. Items are too good so they change them or they way they are aquired to bring them in line with what they wanted. "
And that is a bad thing? If the game is unbalanced as opposed to how the designers wanded it it SHOULD be changed.

However I DO dislike all this about loot schematics, player crafters should be able to make all weapon types in the game with out acquiring special schematics from the combaters.

And about soloing things to powerful... SOE should know that someone will always find a way to do such things, because the creature AI DO NOT ADAPT TO CHANGE. The human mind will always beat an algorithm giving enough time.

The economy in this game is flawed and I won't complain a bit about things being levelled up. It's reached to point where people would rather go without something if it is'nt the biggest badest most powerful weapon out there. In no way shape or form should a simple loot item be worth millions, when you can go get it yourself. The fact that ding-dongs pay hard earned american money on Ebay for credits, so they can afford these overpriced items, only fuels the fire for inflation.

Your opinions stated here only prove the fact that you're a whiner who wants everything for nothing and you'llcry and quit if you don't get your way. Diversify yourself, put more effort into making what you sell, and for crying out loud, don't piss off the Devs

The economy is flawed. Loot is sold for millions (way more than most of it is "worth") and we weaponsmiths get yelled at for "gouging." Just last week I was told by a person that their component was worth more than the final weapon what is built with that component! Their "fix" will not help anything.

I just love how someone with only 11 posts comes into this forum and tellsthe restof us, many of whom have been WS since the start of the game, that we are all wrong and that HE is the only right one. Sounds to me like YOU'RE the whiner who can't compete with established smiths so you want the Devs to come and fix it for you.

Diversify ourselves? Do you even know what you are talking about? How in the hell can we diversify ourselves when the player base only wants maxed out damage? How in the hell can we diversify ourselves when we will nowhave to use all 10 experimentation points to max out damage, and have nothing left over to put into durability, efficiency or accuracy? All weapons will now be cookie-cutter look-a-likes.

You can go ahead and make "diversified" weapons if you like; they'll just sit on your vendors. Believe me, I speak from experience on this.

Put more effort into what we sell? Again I ask, what in the hell are you talking about? How long have you been a WS? I'm guessing not very long. Maybe you could enlighten all of us poor schmucks who have only been doing this for months, and months and months on what you mean by 'put more effort into what we sell', because obviously we don't know as much about WSing as you do.

The sad thing is, the Devs will ignore the posts from 90% of the crafters that oppose this change and home in directly on posts from people like gadgetmaker as "proof" that we all want this change. Geesh.
